I'm guessing all the DLC and now this is where all that campaign content went, eh?
I'll have a hard time supporting this. 30 bucks for an expansion that's likely not as sizable as GTAIV's two 20 buck ones? Hopefully reviews will say it's good.

AGREED. Volition can make some awesome games. Especially SR2. And I fear THQ is what turned the SR franchise into a vessel for DLC and cheap thrills.

I've just finished Saints Row 3, but looked at the DLC and thought, "I've had enough". All this is telling me is that the Complete Edition is gonna have LOADS of content that I'm not getting :(.
man I really want all the dlc for this game but it is such a ripoff. If they had a 50% sale on all their DLC I would go nuts.
I regret buying it too soon. It was my first SR game. It was a blast and funny, but felt slightly short. I see all these DLCs and I find it ridiculous. Every week they have new DLC that is just more costume crap or other things that could've been added in. I doubt I'll touch the expansion, it'll likely be shallow on content like the seasonal DLC.
I find this expansion also makes season pass owners feel ripped off, since they won't be getting this despite forwarding money to THQ in the hopes they'd get a fully complete game.

@Saeglopur: It wasn't about liking it, it's about how much content was cut to make it for DLC. Game was barely half the size of SR2.

Of course. Because half the campaign was just entry-level activities, all my favorite activities were gone, what activities were there it didn't seem there was much of them, a lot of the more challenging activities were made too easy, the best character of the franchise was hardly there, the city was plain boring with only a couple notable attractions, etc.

I hit a guy on a moped in an suv in that game. The dude just spun around and proceeded to get the hell away. I then tried several times to knock others off their bikes with failed results. I was pretty much done after that. Gta (aka, awesome) physics have been too hardwired into my brain to accept much less.
The cool things this game could have achieved are mind boggling.

I'm quite pleased, SR3 main problem was lack of content so I don't mind another game with the same engine.
SR2 EG the best one was little more than a add-on for 1, same city, same engine, most of the same weapons.
If they can go all out and built a decent campaign and chuck in some fun side quests I'll be happy.

The season pass was fucking joke. Never again thq, never again. That said, I quite enjoyed sr3 and still do. This will be bought if its comparable to undead nightmare
I may buy this, SRIII was a good game. Game of the year even....DLC was garbage though, I won't touch any of this games DLC ever.
Out of all the games I bought last year, I think i've gotten the most play time and fun out of SR3. I'll be handing my money to the cashier with a big, stupid grin in my face.
Yeahh, I beat this game and didn't look back. It was fairly fun but it felt so extremely shallow when sat next to the 2nd.
So Standalone Expansions are not dead after all. This is nothing new and has been done quite a few times before on pc, for example with the company of heroes expansions and the expansion off supcom 1. I hope other developers are going to make expansions again, standalone or not.
