I hope this game has more than 2 player co-op. It was so much fun running around with a mate doing the insurance fraud missions.
Lets hope they either take PC seriously or skip it all toghethor. The company abandoned the PC version and right now it doesn't even support quad core proccesors without the game running at 1.5x game speed. So minute ingame is now sped up to 45 seconds and the game is retarded after that.

they need to make this sequel though with a greater emphasis on co-op, as oppose to being just an afterthought. it also couldn't hurt to tone down the aggressively juvenile stereotypes found in most (if not all) of the games characters and dialogue.

saints row 3 with redfaction technology! loved 2. i love grabbing people(recruited) and flying them somewhere and then pushing them onto the train tracks or over buildings. then jumping after them.

I love SR2 sooo much.
My friend and I were playing co-op and he went to go get something to eat. In the 2 minutes he was gone I ran to the hospital and got a sec change and ran back to him before he got back.

Ok, so I have never played a SR game. I really enjoy the GTA series, but mainly for the crap that I get into by being a severe misanthrope in-game. Does SR have what it takes to satisfy my inner psychopath? Also, are the graphics/framerate/animations/etc typically good enough to not feel like I am playing a really cheap rip-off?

I ended up enjoying the cartoony and wacky style of SR more compared to GTA4. It's not what I would call a cheap rip off, since a lot of mechanics are actually executed better that than GTA4, like driving and shooting.
SR is insane, and that's what makes it fun. If you enjoyed the crazier parts of GTA, this game is for you. It has all the problems associated with open world game, so yes, there are a ton of glitches and framerate issues, but no more than any other GTA game.

@Stigmeyer Many people say that SR2 was actually better than GTA4. Graphically it's not as realistic, but that's also what it did better than GTA4. It didn't try to be realistic. Just damn fun.
I remember reading somewhere that Volition was planning to take Saint's Row 3 in a more realistic direction along the lines of GTAIV. I hope that was BS or that they changed their mind because as much as I enjoyed GTAIV, I enjoyed SR2 nearly as much precisely because it went completely in the opposite direction.
Also, does anyone know if Saint's Row 3 is confirmed for PC? Because I played part 2 on the 360, but I don't have a 360 anymore and I'd like to be able to play this.
Awesome! I loved how over-the-top and hectic the second game got due to cheats. I hope they have the same crazy cheats in the third! I love the spaceship.
It would really be nice if they would turn out a quality PC version this time. Saints Row 2 on PC... what a disaster.

@carg0 those crude stereotypes where one of things that made Saints Row 2 so brilliant.
Also Saints Row with red faction style destructible buildings is an instant GOTY for me. And hopefull not too unlikely seeing as how the two games are both by Volition.

Make it more customizable, more over the top, more missions, more, well, everything! Pound for pound Saints Row 2 did was superior to GTAIV. It was just so much more fun and it didn't control like shit. I cannot stand how they sacrificed control for the sake of more fluid walking/running animations and made driving too "realistic". Saints Row 2 was just fun from beginning to end, and in fact I actually enjoyed it more than any GTA to date.
As much as I love Red Dead Redemption the worst thing they did was adopt GTAIV's style of animation, where fluid animation trumps quality controls. Niko and John Marston controlled like drunken horses without even getting them drunk first. You can't imagine the amount of times I spend cursing at the TV just trying to get the fucker to wall up stairs or climb a ladder. All he has to do is turn around and walk in the direction, but instead he has to take a whole bunch of extra steps just to turn around so you end up walking right past the stairs or ladder you're trying to climb.

Saint's Row 2's co-op was just about the most fun I've had on Xbox Live. I really, really hope 3 can meet and exceed that.
SR2 was definitely up with my most favorite games. I know they said earlier that they would be taking a new direction, but I hope its not too far from SR2. I liked how unrealistic and completely over the top SR2 was and I even took a liking to the somewhat gangsta style of the game.
Needs a freemode like GTAIV and if it's going to be on PC hopefully it wont be a piece of shit like SR2.
Sweet I fell in love with SR2 and after having made every stereotypical stripper outfit I can think of I can hardly wait for SR3 to bring more possibilities
