Clearly, the world needs a game solely based on Tuxedo Mask. But while somebody figures that out, here's a handful of new Sailor Moon goods: YesAsia has posted an SKU revealing a Namco-developed Sailor Moon Wii game that is scheduled for release in Japan at the end of the year. Neither Namco or YesAsia were available to confirm the game, but if Brandon believes it, then that's good enough for me. In completely unreleated news, he also spotted someone's freeware work dealing with fighting evil by moonlight (and winning love by daylight): Sailor Moon Plus, a five-part game series using the Beats of Rage engine, which follows the story loosely through several episodes and iterations of the original tale, while also adding new elements at times. Three parts are currently available, with more promised. It's generally fashioned after the SNES game (certainly using some of its sprites - the screenshot to the left is from SMP), but seems to be a fair bit better in execution. Seeing as it's the Beats of Rage engine, this means you can play the game on a variety of consoles as well as PC.
It seems some of the download links are momentarily broken, but you can get one of the full games free on the PC, PSP, XBOX, GP2x, and Dreamcast here. (45mb). [Via InsertCredit]
