Sadness is bullsh*t: Nibris' official site closes photo

As if we needed any further proof that Sadness is complete and utter horsecrap, it has been discovered that the official site for the game has disappeared. The domain has collapsed and is now free for purchase by anybody with money burning a hole through their pocket.

As always, Nibris has failed to comment. I'm beginning to think Nibris itself doesn't exist either. I think Nibris was once a real company in the fifties, but a fire in an office building trapped all its employees and they died. Now, their ghosts still roam the hallways of their old office building, trying to conduct business with their incorporeal forms. They issue spectral press releases for games that they cannot physically make, and they don't even know they're dead.

It is, as you might say, a very sad state of affairs.

It could not be allowed to exist

@Maxx - No kidding, huh? This would have been a great game for the Wii.

Aw, sad day. I remember when Sadness first started showing up in gaming news. It was an intriguing idea to me.

RIP that which never was.

I still don't understand how it made it this far anyway. I mean, there was a trailer at E3, right? How were they able to put out promotional material for a game that didn't even exist?

Looks like I don't have to give up my left testicle. I don't understand how these kids got so much publicity in the first place.

This sounds like a great idea for a new Sadness game.

Alastor is correct.

The main site for Nibris actually changed a couple of years ago. IT's still up. Of course, there hasn't been any new updates since june 2008!

Nibris is dead anyway. End of the story.

I always wondered what happened to this game. And, while we're on the subject, what the hell happened to Project H.A.M.M.E.R.? And Metroid Dread? What the hell are you doing Nintendo?

Project HAMMER was cancelled years ago, and Metroid Dread NEVER EXISTED.

Okay Jim I know you don't like to go back and edit your blogs and stuff but as PappaDukes has pointed out the site is still alive. On a related note it list Sadness for Fall 2009.

I still find it weird why people still say "It looked like an interesting game" and other such things. What game? We never saw anything. We were never told anything other than it's "mature" and black and white. Why we even know the name is beyond me. Guess they got enough attention to trick some investors.
