Sacred 2 Xbox 360 screens look tasty, but probably taste terrible photo

I haven’t had the pleasure (or displeasure according to some reviewers) of playing Sacred 2 on the PC yet, so I’m in the dark. However, I did get a chance to play the Xbox 360 version at Gen Con last summer. I came away with the impression that the controls were great. It was an alpha build, so it was hard to judge anything else.

CDV (the developer of Sacred 2) recently released six new screenshots for the Xbox 360 version of the game. The screen that caught my eye is embedded as the header image. It features a rolling hoop of death called a Monowheel.

Temple Guardians use the Monowheel as a mount. I haven’t the slightest idea what a Temple Guardian is (other than a big baddy) or why such a contraption exists in the game, but I’m excited nonetheless. I like crushing things almost as much as whole-wheat pizza crust.

Sacred 2 will grace the Xbox 360 March 24, 2009.

I suspect there isn't much crushing involved and it's mostly lasers.

Anyway, the PC version is poo, needs a bit of patching, most importantly online is rubbish.
They did delay the console version quite a bit so I'm hoping they've been working on bug fixes and the like and there will be a nice patch for the PC version come console release time.

As long as it controls better than Too Human, I'll give it a chance. The right analog works well with shooters but for a hack n slash I just counldn't get into it.
