S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl is on sale for a measly $5 from now until November 2 on Steam. If you know the importance of this scenario, chances are you already own the game.

It always saddens me when people do that to themselves. What a shame!
I started playing Half Life 2 before the first one and I am stuck in a part were you use sentries, pretty advanced I guess. I already know about the strange appearances of GMan in Half Life during the progress, but i still have to solve several mysteries. i guess the real advice would be to clear the first Half Life first. Episode One will be logically the one I play right after I clear HL2, although i already spoiled myself the ending of Episode Two. I was jsut too curious :(
This game is absolutely dripping with atmosphere
I wholeheartedly agree. STALKER has an amazing atmosphere. Its a great world to explore.
Also, everyone should buy The Witcher RIGHT NOW.
Still, for $5 this is a steal.
