Hip-hop legend RZA is in cahoots with Activision. The Grammy-winning artist recently tweeted that he had completed doing motion capture work for the publisher, but provided no details on what game it was for.
"Great team of guys who really appreciate hip-hop," he says of the Activision team, adding, "I'm delighted to see that some people in Corp America who are beneffitin $$ from hip-hop are really fans of our work. Big ups Activision!"
With DJ Hero 2 more or less confirmed, it seems likely this is the project RZA was in the studio for. The problem is, of course, RZA isn't exactly known as a DJ. Author, producer, rapper, actor, director... sure. But a DJ? So either Activision has something else up its sleeve, or maybe there's more to DJ Hero 2 than we're expecting.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!

@Rammstein
EA owns Def Jam.
Oh, and I too express love for RZA. He was on The Colbert Report a while back. Smart young man.
Even though that game "Wu-Tang Shaolin Style" on the original Playstation was kinda lame...how many other individual rap groups can say had their own videogame though?
well there's only one that matters isnt there ?
...Zactly!!! :-D
"Konichiwa, terrorist bitches!"
RZA is 41. Not really a young man. Small little thing, I know.. but it makes it sound like he's still a pup in the music business, which is obviously far from the truth.
@ VolksONER,
"Bobby Digital the game."
That'd be a day one purchase for me!
If it's just a music game like DJ Hero or whatever.. I probably will pass. I just don't really get into those. But who knows, maybe it'll be what I need to make me see the light, or whatever.
Because RZA is genius.
I suppose what I meant was in comparison to most...smart people? I dunno. Stereotypical smart person perhaps.
Whatever the case, I would be excited about a RZA as Bobby Digital game indeed! Especially if it came with the as-yet-unreleased Bobby Digital movie.
Or, perhaps, a The Man with the Iron Fist game?
Alas, I think, too, that it was for DJ Hero 2 and that game I have no interest in whatsoever.
I'm causin' more Family Feuds than Richard Dawson.
And the survey said - ya dead!
Fatal Flying Guillotine chops off your fuckin' head.
