It looks like the rumors of Rush's classic Moving Pictures album coming to Rock Band are true. VH1 Classic has run a quick promo spot for the upcoming DLC, and we have the lowest quality video in the world to prove it! The seven track album, originally released in 1981, will be made up entirely of master tracks and includes: - "Tom Sawyer"
- "Red Barchetta"
- "YYZ"
- "Limelight"
- "The Camera Eye"
- "Witch Hunt"
- "Vital Signs"
That's over 40-minutes worth of music, with the "The Camera Eye" alone taking up at least 11 of them. So you might be saying: "But 'Tom Sawyer' ships on the Rock Band disc, WTF?" Very true, but it was a cover, and this will be a master; we all know masters tracks are way cooler. The Rush track "Limelight" was also released as DLC in the past, but was also a cover. And your final complaint: "YYZ" has no vocals! Prepare to tap the microphone a lot, I guess. No word on pricing and other details, all of which will likely come in tomorrow's press release. [Update: Just got the official word from Harmonix and MTV Games -- the album will cost $10.99 (880 Microsoft Points), or $1.99 (160 Microsoft Points) per track.]
