Rune Factory 3 has gone gold, releases November 9th
This news may not be exciting to most of you, but I'm the one who gets to write the blog posts and I love Rune Factory. So it pleases me to let you know that Rune Factory 3: A Fantasy Harvest Moon is all finished up and ready for retail. And, in a month, we can have it in our hot, little hands. What interests me about this third installment in the farming sim / action-RPG series is the story. Instead of it being merely about some enemy eventually coming out of the woodwork to threaten a peaceful world, there's already some existing conflict in place. Humans and an intelligent monster race have been in conflict for a long time and it's up to the hero -- a hybrid of the races -- to unite them against some enemy that will eventually come out of the woodwork. Okay, so it's not Shakespeare. Sounds like progress, though! Did you know? You can now get daily or weekly email notifications when humans reply to your comments.
Legacy Comments (will be imported soon)You're not the only one. I too, am looking forward to RF3, if just because as a poor college student, I need games with insanely long play time value and since I already love Harvest Moon, I figure I may as well give the spin-off a shot. so I've only played the first one and skipped the second because I heard it was basically like the first. What is new in this one? I still haven't tried this series, though my DS backlog is large enough as is, I'll look for a way to work this in next month. @TSP - It's an incredibly fun and addicting series. If you do decide to jump in, I'd recommend upgrading your watering can as soon as possible. It makes your life so much easier. I got RF: Frontieran i was like, 60 hours in with no foresseable ending and repetitive tasks every day so i stopped but sometimes i wish i havenīt @WhiteX I did 120 freaking hours in Rune Factory Frontier!, completed all the dungeons, the main story and got most of the best equipment/tools. It was a lot of time but Rune Factory Frontier was amazing You're, again, not the only one anticipating RF3's release.
I'm very excited for it. The improvements in gameplay, the plethora of new characters and just most important of all, more Rune Factory. I also played the first, but skipped the second since I heard that it was pretty much the same thing with two generations. I'll be picking up this installment though. 8:00 AM on 06.06.2013 LEGO Marvel Super Heroes is a ton of funI am so jealous of kids growing up this day and age.
