It's been rumored non-stop and begged for since the game came out in Japan, but now it's been backed up by those close to the game: Yakuza 3 is coming to the West for all us gaijin to enjoy. 1Up got in touch with some unnamed contacts they have that worked on the game and they have told them that Yakuza 3 is indeed being localized for the West as we speak. Well, actually it's the weekend so they'll probably get back to work on it tomorrow. Unless they're doing it in Japan in which case it is tomorrow and then they are working on it right now. I've gotten off point.
This is obviously not officially official, and thus the rumortoid, but 1Up is one of those "reliable sources" and we trust them here. It makes sense as we've heard mounting rumors and discussion about the game coming, and with TGS rolling up on us we could be seeing an announcement within the week. After all, Sega will be taunting us with Yakuza 4 at the show, so why not be nice and show us some Yakuza 3 love.

Don't worry, the games have a recap. Yakuza 2's recap lasts about an hour long though...so as you can see, you may as well play the game.

Of all the great exclusives this game is what made the difference? I'm very surprised. It's a good game, I've played it a little, but I just think there's lots of other games that are better. Now if only they released the movie over here...
Unfortunately with Sega you can probably look forward to an abortion of a marketing campaign followed by sales under 100,000 copies.

That's Ryuuga gotoku Kenzan! I have it, the story is awesome, you actually play as the legendary samurai Miyamoto Musashi. However I don't think it's as complete of a game as this one. It's super easy, even on the hardest setting. And pretty linear despite trying to appear as a sandbox title.

Well, yes...the majority games on the Ps3 are shooters and I'm mainly a rpg fan, if Persona 5 gets announced Ps3 exclusive then more reason. Besides I'm apparently one of the few people in NA to actually buy Yakuza and enjoy it enough to buy the sequel.

I imagine there is a large amount of good titles on the Ps3, just not ones I preticularly want to buy a console for.
Well say no more, Demons Souls and 3D Dot Heroes are your flavor then! I know Demons Souls is AAA quality already, I'm expecting 3D Dot heroes to be excellent as well given the screens. White Knight Chronicles, though already old in Japan, is coming out soon. Valkyria Chronicles is great as is the insanely hard/long Disgaea 3. Sad though, this generation hasn't seen many rpgs let alone truly memorable ones, but that's not just ps3.
As a new PS3 owner (and btw it's my first Sony console ever), I have to say that SONY RULES AND JIM IS A HATER!

3D dot heroes sounds like a horrible game but I'm just basing that off the title. I don't get into Srpgs all that much, so I don't really have an interest in Disgaea(although I have played it), I am kinda excited for Demon Souls although I'm afraid its going to be too much of a dungeon crawler.
And I'll probably actually finally get off my ass and finish it, so that way if it actually does come out, I'll already know what the hell to do.
