Rumortoid: Use the flamethrower in World at War as early as November photo

According Gamepro (via Only The Games) players could be jumping into Treyarch’s Call of Duty: World at War as early as this November. This possible date puts a nail in the tentative “autumn” date that the game has been slated for.

While it’s only a rumor, my excitement over destroying the Pacific theatre with a flamethrower in November simply cannot be contained. Space Cat told me that November 11th looks like a really good day to release World at War considering that it’s Veteran’s Day, which means only 75 more days to go before maximum fire satisfaction can be reached. If only Space Cat would let me borrow its time machine.

The consensus is that World War II games are becoming stagnant and boring. Is November too early for you guys to return to a world of Nazis and grenade traps?

Toasty!

This game could suck but that is going to be so much fun. Like running people over in GTAIV. Never gets old >:-D

While I have 0% interest in this game, there was a video where they player gets ambushed (ie. the standard way every level starts in ever WW2 shooter) that was actually REALLY REALLY cool. I'm thinking "here we go, another ambush scene, big surprise", but then nothing happens...then the way it DOES happen your like "OMG WTF". Go watch the co-op video with the swamp.

Doesn't really matter that its WW2 - the multiplayer is what matters; its gonna be graphically superior to COD4, new maps/weapons/perks etc and it all starts again at rank one... couldn't really ask for more

November 11th? When will these people learn? You do not put ANY game up against Gears of War 2.

You'd be shooting yourself in the foot right out of the gate.

Killing Nazi scum never gets old, I'll still be doing it with a smile on my face at 80. The pacific theater portions could be fun too, but fighting the Japanese just doesn't have the same flare.

@Sup3rt3d - Ya, if the multiplayer is as good or better than CoD4 i might bite.

I'm still trying to convince myself to want this game. After CoD4, I'm having one hell of a time leaving the present to go back to the past once again.

This game was supposed to take 2 years, my source being an interview in GamesTM. No surprise it's going to get rushed out, because they're doing it to whore out on CoD4's awesomeness.

I say again: IT'S GOING TO SUCK!

However much we say otherwise, burning Nazis is always an enjoyable pasttime.
