Rumortoid: Turn 10 working on a Project Gotham Sequel to be announced soon photo

AddictGaming has posted information from what they're calling a "reliable source" that Forza Motorsport developer Turn 10 Studios is working on a Project Gotham Racing sequel. Additionally, the information suggests that the game would be revealed "within the next two weeks."

Bizarre Creations, the designer behind the first four Project Gotham titles, was snapped up by Activision Blizzard last year. The PGR franchise has remained in the hands of Microsoft Game Studios, leaving many to believe that internal racing studio Turn 10 would be taking the reins.

These aren't the first Turn 10/Project Gotham Racing sequel rumors we've heard; earlier in the year, a leaked survey suggested that the title would be so large as to span two discs.

Here's to hoping it remains a similar experience to PGR, Forza 2 is probably the only racing game I found so boring that I returned.

Personally I find the whole "You can go, but we're keeping the name" situation a bit silly. Look what happened with FEAR - we got a decent and a rubbish expansion pack, and then the name reverted back to the original developer. IT's a shame such importance isn't placed on the people who make these franchises so popular.

I'm a fan of both the PGR and the Forza series and would love to see the realism and scope of the latter combined with the presentation and variety of the former. Also, sometimes I'm afraid that I'm not actually a robot.

I really wish they would turn PGR into a rally driving game. I'm so FUCKING SICK of driving the same cars on the same tarmac style tracks with the same modes with the same goals. bleh.

Heres an idea for PGR, get rid of the cone challanges. My fiance and I both whipped a controller at the cat, cause we missed platnium by like 5 points.

But either way, I'd like Forza and PGR To get expansive with the car editing and what not. I know Forza 2 had alot, but it didn't feel like enough. and PGR, once you found that one car you were good with, you only used that car.(rx-7 Spirit for me)

Ummm....maybe I've got this wrong, but isn't Turn 10 also working on the next entry in the Forza series, or....? I mean, if such is the case, wouldn't that be somewhat weird, them working on both at the same? I'd think that the two would somehow become blurred, although, with PGR3 becoming more and more realistic/sim and less arcadey, I fear we might already be there.
