Rumortoid: The Force Unleashed now has achievements photo

With all of the Star Wars: The Force Unleashed news and videos hitting the web and TV this week, it is really hard to imagine that even more is available for a game as far off as September. Thanks to a faithful tipster, it seems like Destructoid has even more in the form of Xbox 360 exclusive content -- the achievements.

As many of you know, I hate seeing people give away spoilers on the storyline of a game; this list does not seem to touch on too many things that would give away the story. What you can expect to learn are things like vehicles, characters, Jedi powers, difficulty levels and locations. I was assured that this list also has one "mock achievement," so that our tipster could always know where their work ended up. They also made it very clear that "The mock achievement isn't out of the blue, and does not make up a new part of the game."  Take what you will from that, but I can tell you that we were able to validate many of these achievements.

Also, please keep in mind that these are likely to change, as the final build of the game doesn't seem to be ready for the 360 even though some of us have played it and there is also a PS3, Wii, PSP, and DS version of the game on the way. This could be an indicator of how far along the game is, or just a quick list put up to help the game in testing. Last week we saw Grand Theft Auto IV achievements hit the web that are not the final achievements. Most are legit, but a few are not. The same could apply to these.

Hit the jump, and Caveat Emptor.

Seriously though, I'm hot for this game like I'm hot for Beef Stroganoff (g'head, make jokes). I'm gonna unleash my force on ALL YOU BITCHES!

Also, did any of you play the last Jedi Knight game online (on the PC)? It was probably the most nerd-gasmistic online PvP game I'd ever played: People would frown upon and mad-diss you if you didn't do some sort of elaborate pre-bout dance before you fought. It was kinda surreal. There would be like, 20 other players (in an online game mind you!) just hanging out chatting and emoting until a duel was decided, then you'd jump in the middle of the throng and have a duel, where no one interfered or anything! I've seen nothing like it since that wasn't forced upon you by menus or invisible walls--*cough*Rocket-arena Q2*. Star Wars fans are a unique bunch.

Someone needs to write an article about why these gamerscores are such a huge fad. Cause I seriously don't get why I would want to display how fanatically excessive I am about doing every little score related activity or that I go out and hunt down every game with scores even 5 year old mickey mouse games in order to raise this score that says I have to much time on my hand.

Showing off badges of achivement or titles or trophies for real accomplishments like winning a tournament or being a high ranked player.

Maybe I'm crazy but it seems to me this system was made to turn people into tools.

@Volomon

I'm really not interested in the size of my Gamerscore, personally, but I feel like achievements are cool. It gives you extra challenges to accomplish in a game. When it comes to games I enjoy, it adds another layer of depth to it. It's no different than having unlockable crap in a game, but for a completionist like me it makes certain games more fun.

Just saying it's not all about the e-peen. Sometimes it's just personal accomplishments. I think it's cool.

I guess its ok to unlock things and show them off, without a doubt. More along the lines of the Home system though. Having something visual sounds more appealing than a number. Can you like look through someones achievements? Or is it purely a number?

Wow. All enthusiasm I had for the 360 suddenly went out the window. 5 locations, a factory and a final boss staging area? That has all the soundings of an average 6-7 hour game to me. And what the hell, Jedi Council difficulty for 50gs?

HOW CAN YOU BE ON THE COUNCIL AND NOT BE A MASTER?!?? WHAA WHAA, ihatesanditscoarsenotlikeyouyouaresmooth.

For cereal though, if I could think of achievements for a generic SW game with some cool physics effects that will look ridiculous in 3 years, these would be it :(

Those achievements look pretty easy, Which are the most satisfying I find, Don't you.

I hope this game is more than Golden Axe : In Space Far Far Away. Hopefully it will offer more than slicing up Fodder Ass Peons. I wanna to some Clone Wars Shit you know the Cartoon shorts; Yeah those are sick.

Still excited because I will by almost any Star Wars game that is half good, and they know it.
