Star Wars Battlefront III is going to Pandemic, the studio that developed the first two Battlefront games. According to a VG247 source person, the deal will be announced soon. Pandemic’s ownership runs contrary to other rumors that the game is in the hands of Rebellion, a capable PlayStation Portable developer that handed the port of Battlefront II.
Next week, Battlefront III will be placed on a magical golden ship. Then it will be whisked away to an unknown Antarctic developer.
Since the leaked alpha footage yesterday, it has become hard not to get excited about Battlefront III's possibilities. Any game with playable Ewoks and a user-controlled Millennium Falcon gets me excited. If Pandemic is going to develop the game, then we definitely have something to look forward to, namely playable Ewoks and user-controlled Millennium Falcons.

Also I think it's kind of a shame that Pandemic are getting it back, They haven't released anything particularly great lately.
Plz, plz, plz don`t mess this one up.
I am officaially hyped.
It would've been nice to let Rebellion have another chance with a big title.
Its also hard to screw up LOTR and yet Pandemic pulled it off.
1. Get a NEW and IMPROVED engine. (Physics / graphics and all.)
2. TAKE US INTO ORBIT! YES!
3. MAKE THE BATTLES MOAR EPIC!

And Conquest isn't that hard to screw up. They really couldn't do much more than a hack-n-slash in the first place, they did the best they could with the hand they were dealt.
I like what Free Radical was doing with it. If Pandemic takes it in the same direction they I'm all about it. If they make another meh glitch filled games then not so much. Somebody resurrect the FR team so they can continue building it using whatever awesome engine they were using.
