I can't wrap my head around the idea that the most basic (not to mention attractive) colors of any console would be discontinued while said console is still in the height of popularity, but perhaps I'm just not bright enough to grasp Nintendo's master plan. According to the GameStop daily newsletter that you see above, the Onyx DS lite has officially been discontinued. Wut?
Apparently the white DS Lite has already been discontinued, and a search around the internet definites confirms that, although the Onyx can still be spotted on Amazon for $129.99. While there's no official confirmation on this, it looks like it could very possibly be a reality. I wonder if the Onyxcould be being discontinued to make way for the Black DSi?

1. it says the ONYX DS is the one being discontinue,in the statement it says to only remove the display cards with the ONYX ds on it and to continue displaying the other color of the ds
2. Its a rumor, but buy your ONYX DS before this is initiated.

question: do all DS lites take NOT-R4 like devices?
why the fuck would they do this? All the other colors are fucking stupid ang ugly. they better still be able to replace black/white ones that are still under warranty.
Yeah, this probably has something to do with the NOT R4. My friend has an "onyx" DS lite and I have a pink. His R4 works in his, not in mine.
