Well, the likelihood of this being real is slim. Slim... get it? Because I'm talking about the PS3 slim, which has beenheavilyrumored fora while now, and the chances of the video below being real are slim... it's the same word. Come on people, I'm working with comic gold here. Fine, don't fall on the floor with laughter, but you wait until the internet picks up on this joke. Then you'll all pretend like you laughed at it when you first heard it.
Anyway, the video is purportedly a "stolen" PS3 slim that was on sale at a street market in the Philippines -- because evidently that's where high profile stolen gaming systems go when they're stolen. It's not that remarkable a video, but it does have the new rounded PS3 logo so that gives it some credence, right? Probably not, as it's most likely a bit of viral video to get some traffic to the site that is plastered at the bottom of the vid. The sad thing is if it isn't a viral video and it turns out to be a useless piece of plastic then it isn't even big enough to make a George Foreman Grill out of.

PS1 Slim, PS2 Slim, PS3 Slim no doubt is real. But this vdeo is probably viral. You'd think that Sony can sufficiently screw up and let their secret project fall in the hands of some Filipinos?
Don't the slim versions of the Playstations cost more than the regular ones? That's exactly what Sony need right now, a MORE expensive Playstation.
I guess it makes sense that they would be working on the slim, but I can't see it being released for a while, not until the normal PS3 has dropped in price. The PS/PS2 slim models showed up after 4/5 years, maybe we'll see a PS3 slim next christmas?

there will eventually be a ps3 slim, but not so soon. It took ages for the ps2 slim to be produced. If this were the real deal nobody would buy it, it just looks ugly
Not only is it fake filipino knockoff shit, but the cameraman must have parkinsons or something, using shakycam technique to try to obscure the fakeness of this thing.

If you want more space you will have to buy an 80 GB HDD upgrade add on that will sell for $199.99, if you want to play Blu-ray games you will have to buy the Blu-ray add-on unit that retails for only $199.99 and if you want wi-fi you will have to buy the add-on unit that sells for $75.99.
FINALLY! It's so good to see Sony learning the value of add-on units from the competition and finally producing a PS3 unit that will win the console war!! :)
I really hope Elsa is right. Though even after the slim does come out I'll just continue playing my PS2 redesign for a year or two. Mostly because I want to know for sure whether or not the PS3 slim has many major flaws. Then when I hear little to few problems about it I'll probably buy it. But for now if I wanna play PS3 games I'll just get the 360 versions.

I havent seen those "PS3 slims" around here yet but I havent been to any electronics/video game shops yet since I came back
