Halo Wars ... Halo Chronicles ... you thought Microsoft was going to be stopping there, eh? No chance.
A reliable source has told Destructoid that Microsoft Game Studios is actively looking to build a team to "help develop a new game in the Halo universe," referring to the project as a "new experience." More specifically, the information suggests that Microsoft is currently preparing to create a new internal Halo-centric studio to develop the title. This, of course, would indicate that the studio that gave birth to the franchise, Bungie, wouldn't necessarily be directly involved with the new project, if at all.
With Bungie now technically an independent studio and Microsoft controlling the
Halo IP, forming an internal studio to work on the popular franchise does make sense. Time will tell whether or not Microsoft gets the studio off of the ground, and then maybe what "new experience" they have in store for the series.

Remember that wonderful Zelda violin cover? With cosplay and everything? Well Lindsey Stirling is back, this time doing a cover of the Halo theme while an all out Spartan war is happening around her. It's a pretty good cover, and I love how the 405th Halo cosplayers are just battling it out.

Musician Sarah Schachner did a little arrangement where she covered the Halo, Modern Warfare 2, and Skyrim themes back-to-back. The covers sound wonderful, and it's all even more impressive once you see that Sarah played every instrument herself.
