First and foremost, CES -- which takes place in Las Vegas later this week -- is not a gaming show. Sure, there will be gaming-related things happening there (like the AVN Adult Entertainment Expo, for instance), but it's not a games-centric show.
So despite Microsoft's CEO Steve Ballmer heading up its keynote this year, we aren't expecting much. But we certainly expect a little something more than him name-checking Halo Wars and Halo ODST for the Xbox 360.
According to numerous online reports (including this one over at Gamertag Radio), Ballmer won't be pulling out the big guns this year. If this Internet word is truth, expect talk about Windows 7 entering public beta, Windows Mobile finally supporting Flash, and some crap about home networking. Oh, and did you know Halo Wars and Halo ODST are coming out this year? Yup.
Whatever the case, we'll be there. I hop on a plane Wednesday morning, revved up and ready to listen to whatever Ballmer has to say ... even if it's not about a Zune that controls the weather and plays Xbox LIVE Arcade games. There's always next year.
Is there a good reason why that isn't happening that I'm just not aware of?
plus who the hell has a Zune? though, as soon as they put castle crashers on it and make it multiplayerplayable ( with decent controls) I'll get 4 :p
I hope it goes something like that with the screams of "Haaaalllllloooo!!!!
At least PC gamers will definately suck up every word Steve Ballmer has to say. I know I will.
Btw, Does anybody know a site that will broadcast the MS Keynote live?
Looks like MS will be hosting a web cast.

Maybe I'll even find you in the crowd. Steve Ballmer sweating all over you. ^^
I'll be one holding the huge "MOAR HALOZ" sign!
