Paying for harder. Enh. Not really my thing, unless I get really sadistic.
More characters would have had my money though, no question. Playing as Rush maybe? :)
Scam-com?
The DLC list above came straight from Megaman 9. It's on one of the menus.
Exactly why I never buy (most) DLC day-1
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Thats the stupidest thing ever! Soon they are going to start charging us for the fucking option menus.
You're going to pay for a higher difficulty setting? Are you crazy or just plain stupid? Anyone who supports this is proving gamers are willing to buy anything that should have been included in the game in the first place as unlocks or there from the start.
Silly.
As to your question, I'll go with neither crazy nor stupid. Scamcom will make a killing selling some or all of these as DLC. The stupid and/or crazy people will be the ones buying it.
Y0j1mb0: Since you're wantonly throwing around titles, can I get most informed Dtoider?
"The stupid and/or crazy people will be the ones buying it."
That's who I directed the question towards. The people buying it.
Times have changed, friend. This is a download game and as such, there's a price standard.
And what the fuck is this? We have to praise them for adding things the original game didn't have? Yes, guys. Let's be happy this new game has new features. Let's award them with more money.
I can be angry at the fact that they're making me pay for shit that should have been in the game in the first place. Also, while I'm washing that sand out my vagina, you can take Capcom's dick out of your mouth.
If you love MM9, and you are interested in the extras, then a couple dollars won't seem like a big deal.
If you love MM9, and don't want the extras for a couple dollars more, then don't buy them.
If you don't care about MM9, then no issue. Really, it's not something to get crazy over.
SantanaClaus89: So you were born in 1989 and are going to go on the attack about people not knowing what it was like in the 80s? You do realize that you weren't even born when Megaman 2 was released and have NO memory of the 80s at all, right?
You mean, my credit card, right?
"Little boys like you who weren't even alive when the classic games were released have no business telling me or anyone else how "times have changed". How exactly would you know what times were like in the 80's?"
I may not have been an 80s kid you elitist ass, but I at least have enough sense to know when I'm being being taken advantage of.
Now, how's about you scurry along with your NES controller t-shirts and blog about games not being as "good" as they were "back in the day".
I'll buy the core game, but I'm not going to waste money on shit that should have been in the game from day one, and if it wasn't, it should have been patched in.
You know, by your logic we shouldn't criticize or complain about anything we feel is wrong. "EA has shitty DRM? Let's not complain, let's just ignore it." Well, I don't want to ignore it. I'd like to play a few EA games on my PC but the DRM issue is keeping me from doing that. I'll complain until it gets fixed.
So, fine. Go ahead and buy this "DLC" and show Capcom that you're stupid enough to pay for this garbage.
game should be sold complete. no DLC. Episodic is excused and your music based song downloads as well.
MM9 woulda been great for 15$ with all of that included. Capcom is nickel and diming you all. yes a dollar isn't anything but when it adds up you have to pay 8 dollars for barely any new material. when the entire game cost on 10. then when you add up all the random 8$s out there, that's when capcom is smiling how their plan worked to weasel money out of you.
It seems they left out the best DLC anyways - more bosses/stages.
who wants a game when the pieces are scattered all over.
that said....it doesnt stop me from getting MM9 though tonight.
You're both awesome. Thanks for giving me a good laugh this morning.
And now for my well-thought out opinion: all the above DLC is fucking retarded other than the special stage.
Even better, since I'm doing well enough with the current difficulty and probably wont' ever want to by the difficulty modes. :D
If its a game that sold retail at $50, then I could lean more to Alex's side, I think. But considering the bargain that it really is, I certainly feel comfortable paying for what the DLC is, because I want it.
What really does disappoint me, even as big fan of the series, is that this is probably it so far as DLC. I doubt the hooks are in place for more characters to be included after Protoman, nor are there hooks in place for more levels and things. Considering that, yeah, might as well keep it complete and sell a full bundle.
But I'm not going to feel bad about getting a "discount" package that doesn't have a spare time attack mode that I don't want, or two extra difficulties I probably won't be interested. At the end of the day, if you're getting the fun out of the app that you're looking for, by bit or in whole, you might as well call yourself a winner.
Also, the argument above was way too hot to be over 8 bucks. :)
I will await your response, in which you will undoubtedly hit me with devastating, crushing homophobic slurs and invent some new retarded logic with which to combat me. Do hurry.
