A batch of images purported to be the very first Massive Action Game screenshots have found their way onto Flickr and are currently drawing interest from ... well ... me, mainly. While a lot of the screens are merely environments or character concepts, a small number of shots show what appears to be a first-person perspective, indicating for the first time that Massive Action Game will be an FPS.
With Sony due to reveal solid details about the game very soon, it's possible that these are indeed leaked shots. If so, the game is looking very graphically impressive, which is quite surprising for a console game that boasts 256-player action. It wouldn't be a Sony game if they couldn't boast about the graphics, but I'm still rather surprised. If, of course, these are real.
What do you think? Legit or fake? Either way, details on this ambitious title are possibly coming as soon as this month, and I'm looking forward to receiving them.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
anyway this will be great for FNF
Hey, Black kicked ass. I fucking loved that game.
Which if true we know only the PS3 can cloud network as far as I'm aware.
Another thing I wonder is how big the maps are. If they make the maps to big to allow company vs company warfare, than there's going to be alot of walking or driving. Also you might not be able to find an enemy for a long time due to the size of the map.
the graphics are nice though, not as nice as Killzone 2, but still good. Just hope to god that there isn't a monthly fee or anything.
Also @ Chronic Logic: I wouldn't worry too much about the maps being too big. It's definitely a concern, but games like Battlefield 2 have proven that really massive maps can work if they're designed properly.
i still havnt seen all 32 player in killzone2 all in one spot at the same time. i think thats why the spawn time is so long, you will never see everyone unless no one kills each other and you all meet up. i think we should try that!
I'm not an FPS-maniac, but I do think that FPS games are some of the most fun online games out there, so I'm incredibly pumped for this now.
Makes me wonder what novalogic has been up to...also can't wait for MAG this could be amazing!
Try the international conflict mod for Joint Operations, it's much better than the original game, and it has up to 250 players in a single match.
Really cause then it seems i will have to search my gamecabinet and my novalogic account and everything...:)
Is the community alive cause i havent played it in many years.
I'm loving Socom right now, fucking brilliant.
I'm hoping this will be more Socomish than CODish.
256 Player Socom, with vehicles and squads and various objectives. Fuck yes.
