We all know by now that Microsoft paid vast amounts of loot in order to secure itself exclusive DLC in form of the Lost & Damned expansion pack. However, PSW magazine has decided to whip itself up a storm and claim that the DLC was exclusive only for six months, and could be hitting the PlayStation 3 this summer.

If the gossip is true, August 20 has been tossed around as the launch date, but obviously unless Rockstar or Sony officially say so, this is nothing but rudderless speculation right now. However, if the chattering is true, it kind of makes Microsoft's massive spending spree look even sillier.

We'll see how it goes from here, but it looks like PS3 loyalists may be getting their GTA IV expansion after all.

meh, I haven't re installed gta4 since I switched hard drives , and I doubt this is gonna change my mind. fix the engine so cars don't handle like shopping carts, and get me a main character with more personality than cardboard and then we'll talk.

Too little too late for me. Maybe this is good news for the rabid GTA fans, but personally it probably won't make it into the rotation for me.

No big surprise, when Bioshock become a multiplatform game and step in Sony consoles I couldn't imagine that it would stop there and others would do the same...

a DLC exclusive is stupid anyways, what is it going to accomplish? did people go out and buy either a 360 or a copy of gtaIV on 360 simply because there is an exclusive DLC pack? I don't think so, all it did was waste people's time and money.

Anyway, I never bought the game, the Lost and Damned probably won't convince me to, but I always wanted to play a game about a motorcycle gang.
Also, Johnny's voice seemed a lot less annoying than Niko's.

I don't have a PC that's good enough to play GTA4 or a 360 but its definitely a game I want and I just got a PS3 so I consider this good news and provides me with a little more motivation to pick it up. I was hoping they would wait until all of the DLC had been made available (there is going to be more isn't there?) and just re release them all one one disc for PS3 rather then (or as well as) making it available as DLC for PS3. I think I would prefer buying it that way rather then as a additional download and if they where able to fit the 360 version on a DVD I'm sure they probable had enough extra space on the PS3 version's blu-ray disc to fit the extra content.

I bought GTA 4 for the 360 just for the DLC just in case it turned out to be awesome. I didn't hear that the DLC was a timed exclusive and now I'm kicking myself.

I don't see what the big fuss is. I got the 360 version for the DLC, but I don't, nor shouldn't, feel shafted because it's coming to PS3 (allegedly). I'll still enjoyed it while it lasted.

I purchased GTA on the 360 the DLC. I don't see what the big deal is. MS got an exclusive for a while & it was during the peak of the GTA hype. Now the games will be available to those who haven't played.

Seems like everyone wins. Personally I thought the GTA DLC puts most other DLC to shame and look forward to the next episode.

I haven't been into GTA since Vice City anyway...I'll stick with Uncharted 2 and Heavy Rain this fall.

I'll wait for actual confirmation, but if it does end up happening good for them. The DLC is fantastic, anyone that loves GTA4 and has a PS3 will love the dlc. The hatred for GTA is silly, cry more.

I have a PS3 and even then I don't care if this comes or doesn't come to PS3.
Didn't Microsoft pay to keep this 100% exclusive to the Xbox 360 or is it only a timed exclusive to the Xbox 360 and will come to PS3 later on?

I'm nearly certain that Microsoft didn't "pay" for exclusive DLC, they essentially gave Rockstar an advance on DLC profits for exclusivity/timed exclusivity. However, this fact seems to have gotten lost somewhere along the way.

I doubt MS would pay that ridiculous amount of money for DLC not to be exclusive. I call BS on this. If it does, good for PS3 owners, but i don't think it would considering how much MS shelled out for it. It almost seems retarded that they would give them that for just a timed exclusivity. Not even MS is THAT stupid. I agree with Genebeef, they're just trying to start a shitstorm.

For the same reasons the smart PS3 owners are saying 'Okay' to the possible MGS360, I say 'Okay' to the PS3 getting L&D. It rocks, and more people should play it regardless of console.

Exclusive DLC is just a smaller, more laughable Exclusive anyway. It just means that, instead of 'You can only buy this game on this console', you get 'You can buy it on either console, but only on THIS one do you get the ability to PAY MORE for a bit more content!'.

Either way, I still say that consoles biggest fault was going online for anything more than multiplayer.

If you don't like or hate the game, fair enough, nothing wrong with that, but save the rest of us your whining about a game that has been out for more than a year. People whined enough when the game was released, just let it go and move on, sheesh.

If this does happen, then great, after pouring a 100 hours into the game (50 hours for a no cheat save, 50 hours FOR a cheat save) this would definitely make me re-buy it.

Yes, I said re-buy it. Evn though I love the game a hell of a lot, after you finish it a 100 percent, and have massive amounts if fun pissing around on the multiplayer and do everthing there is to do on the game, there is not much reason to keep it any longer, IMHO.

yea lets whine about one of the few games that actually tries to go above and beyond when it comes to detailed cities, pedestrian AI, non-scripted gameplay, and music playlists... in these days of 50.00 waggle mini-game collections, we should be supporting developers like rockstar that aren't cutting corners.

Why are PS3 owners so convinced in and comfortable with the inevitability of 360 exclusives coming to the PS3, but scoff at the idea of MGS4 on the 360. On the arguments for the Bioshock multiplatform release, MGS4 should be on 360, there's just as little reason not to, unless Sony paid for it or Kojima is the PS3's Gabe Newell.

I own both a 360 and a PS3 and I still scoff at the idea of MGS4 on 360. It has nothing to do with graphics because I certainly think they are obtainable on the 360, it has to do with content. MSG4 is a huge fucking game, it would span multiple dvd's on the 360 which sure doesn't sound that bad, but were talking probably 5-6 not 2-4. Also the insane amount of Apple product placement in the game I just somehow don't see that being put onto a Microsoft system unless huge modifications are made to the game and with Kojima being the apple fanboy that he is I doubt he will want that to happen.

On topic: MS paid for what they thought would be AAA DLC and hasn't lived up to expectations. That is MS! Besides this news making me giggle, it solidifies why the 360 is an overpriced netflix streaming DVD player. Graphically, their 1st games look like shit compared to Sony, so until they release a game looking as good as KZ2, enough with the. "it's possible bullshit".
