Rumortoid: Frontlines: Fuel of War canceled for the PS3? photo

PlayStation 3 gamers looking to pick-up THQ's first-person shooter, Frontlines: Fuel of War, may be in for some disappointment. 

According to a tip we received from a GameStop employee, the retailer has confirmed in a store-wide email that the title has been canceled for the PlayStation 3. We were able to confirm this email with our own GameStop sources, although no reason was given for the cancellation. GameStop.com also no longer lists the title for pre-order, further indicating the game's demise. 

We've contacted THQ for comment, and we'll keep you updated when we learn more.

I played the demo to this on the 360..trust me, Nick, We PS3 Owners aren't going to cry about this garbage. The 360 fans can have it.

I heard they canceled the PS3.

Also I played the game on PC and it was pretty good. The single player is crap, you have to play the multiplayer.

Gamestop sent out an email yesterday saying it was canceled on the ps3, so yeah it looks like it's been canceled.

I'm ps3 owner here: never heard of the game, until now.
and personally i'm not keen on shooters either. don't plan on buying Resistance 2.

Probably not a huge deal but it's not great news for the PS3. The demo on XBL was ok but I don't think I'd buy it new if at all.

Was there something special about this title that would really make me want to get it? Is there something that would set this above all of the other generic fps shooters out there?

Something tells me there isn't. Mabye go something like...short but ok single player, good multiplayer with different options for you to choose, overall 6.0-7.0?

The game isn't "garbage". it simply has a long way to go in terms of polish, etc. Its also primarily a PC game with the consoles being the secondary systems.

I don't think it is a bad thing. This game would have probably followed the fate of other PC/360 to PS3 ports only in this case, when you port the mediocre, it just turns to complete shit through the porting process.

Was it ever coming out on PS3? No publisher I've spoken to has ever even mentioned that version. Always the PC and the 360.

Dosent matter we are getting a port of the pc version of crysis on ps3. the xbox 360 is getting the console version crysis instincts so the power of ps3 will be seen soon
