Rumortoid: Even more Rock Band 2 songs leaked photo
     PS3

People can't seem to keep their mouths shut ... and we love it! A user over at the ScoreHero forums claims to have spent some time with Rock Band 2, and has revealed some of the game's playable tracks:

  • "One Step Closer" - Linkin Park
  • "Peace Sells" - Megadeth
  • "Testify" - Rage Against the Machine
  • "American Woman" - The Guess Who (or Lenny Kravitz)
  • "White Wedding" - Billy Idol
  • "You Oughta Know" - Alanis Morisette
  • "Aqualung" - Jethro Tull
  • "Bad Reputation" - Thin Lizzy (or Joan Jett)
  • "We Got the Beat"- The Go-Go's
  • "Man in the Box" - Alice in Chains
  • "Spoonman" - Soundgarden

This is the second batch of rumored Rock Band 2 tracks, the first of which leaked out yesterday via G4's X-Play.

Interested in any of these songs? Well, there's no confirmation, so keep your pants on. But let's pretend they're legit for a second -- can I get a "must buy"?

Some sweet songs between yesterday's leak and this, definitely. Let's hope they can match GH:WT's supposed 90-plus songs.

I think Bad Reputation is the Joan Jett one since shipero reminded me of her song in Power-glove's blog.

All I know is, there better be at least one Rage song pack at least a week after launch, of someone will get hurt.....

@ bruceleethree If you want another peripheral to clutter up your house, be our guest. That and the screen would be cluttered. And that would be a brutally hard game.

@13thdragon Well, Alanis was in Drummania 2 for PS2, so its not like it hasn't been done before. The same song no less.

@Bruceleethree Your only option is to find a way to play japanese ps2 games and import Keyboardmania http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keyboardmania Or I guess it has a pc version too.

Okay, you've given me Jethro Tull. This is the only reason I have for owning any of the Guitar Hero / Rock Band games at all.

Now all we need is for Rock Band 3 to have a flute option, and for Thick as a Brick (the full song) to be playable. I'd buy it. Twice. Maybe even three times.

But will You Oughta Know have the "fuck" edited out of it? Kinda takes away a lot of the bite from the song. I wish these games had the unedited versions available for those who aren't scared of bad words.

Alanis Morisette? Really? These leaked tracklists for both new games are getting disturbingly mainstream to the point of nonsense. And there better not be any fucking Lenny Kravitz on here.

Happy to see Spoonman on there, coz' maybe you can play the spoons on the mic... but damn... sad to see what's been forced to happen to my sweet innocent Guitar Hero. It seems they tend to make up for the fail on the main discs with DLC though, since that's optional and they can get away with more there.

:-( Makes me sad that some people can't honor the NDA.

Of course, I'm sitting on the entire shipping set list (including the songs that aren't finished yet) and video that someone I know may or may not have taken while inside the "scribble room" some time ago.

Bob Saget looks like he's staring at Ashley Olsen's little girl cleavage. it's kind of creepy.

Wait, it's kind of sad that I know which Olsen is which...

countryfan1123's Avatar

American Woman better be from The Guess Who, because Lenny Kravitz screwed that song up. Aqualung is going to rule, as is Man in the Box. Couple these with Pinball Wizard, Ace of Spades, and Any Way You Want It, and this game is going to rule. If these leeks are true, not even the Linkin Park inclusion can't stop me from buying this game.

Foo Fighters Everlong will be great to play. Todays list is pretty good. I would prefer "Given Up" by Linkin Park instead of One Step Closer though.

@ TheShireling I think it was because Rage guitarist Tom Morello was featured in GHIII and they have had their music in the last 2 games (Audioslave, made up of almost all of Rage after the split-up, was in GHI). Looks like they have come to their senses. They were one of the reasons I was going to get GH:IV. Oh well, I just hope HMX fixes the shitty guitar peripheral before I invest.

@ countryfan1123 Who the hell are you to say what's good and what's bad in music, especially with an a name like that. Sorry, but Tim McGraw isn't in the game.
