Emphasis on the Rumortoid. A supposedly leaked scan from this week's issue of Famitsu shows what looks to be information on an "enhanced" version of Square's infamous classic, saying that it's headed for the DS. While there are plenty of you out there who may already NOT have Chrono Trigger on your NOT DS, the prospect of something like this is still pretty exciting, huh?
A translation of the scan roughly reads as "Square's classic fantasy RPG comes to the Nintendo DS, winter 2008." It then goes on to say that a price point has yet to be decied and all that sort of super-interesting nonsense. So is it real? Faked? And just how enhanced is "enhanced?" I suppose we'll know for sure when this week's Famitsu is released. We'll keep you posted, but in the meantime you can check out the gallery below to see the alleged scan in all its sh*t-resolution glory.

If video games follow the same rules as movies, a December 08 release would say New Year's rather than Winter.
Oh man, if only that little screenshot were just revealed a bit more? I'm left wondering two things:
-- Does "enhanced" mean its getting the treatment FFIII and FFIV got for their DS incarnations?
-- Does Square plan on using this as a way to revive one of their most beloved franchises?

If this is successful and sells a lot, I sure as hell hope Square takes it as a VERY positive sign to continue with the Chrono series. Despite already having this (FFChronicles!), I'd definitely re-purchase it for the DS.
