Rumortoid: Banjo 3 blowout coming on May 13th photo

A NeoGAF member is reporting that he saw Banjo-Kazooie 3 in action along with select members of the gaming press (of which I wasn't a party -- wtf!?) and that the embargo on what he saw is lifted May 13th. That essentially means that Rare's 360 platformer should have a huge stinking wad of fresh information next month. Apparently, the teaser site that went live a while ago shall all make sense, too.

Although he could not comment much, what the GAF'er did say was that, in his opinion, BK3 is Rare's triumphant return to form. Without saying too much, let me just state that I am aware of one or two things that make what this GAF'er say pretty much on the nail, and that Banjo-Kazooie 3 is certainly promising to be an amazing experience.

I am currently working on getting Destructoid's foot in the Banjo door. We shall bring you any fresh info as and when it develops. Right now, all I can say is that this is going to be a videogame with more than three colors in it! The good times will roll!

I call BS, any game set a few weeks after GTAIV is going to surverly suffer sales decreases. Why do you think Mass Effect on PC was pushed back?

Oh sorry I must of Misunderstood.

Personally I think ever since Microsoft bought Rare, they've never been the same.

Evidence of this is in their games.

If it's another mario 64 clone collectathon, count me out. Having to collect heaps of those stupid note things just to progress through the story pissed me off enough to just never want to play banjo kazooie again.

Ah, if it's another Mario 64 clone collectathon then count me in. Seriously this game is the reason I want a 360. No other. If this isn't Rare's triumphant return to form then I will cry.

Although the fact that he said it was could just be hype for the game when in fact it will be pants.

Here's hoping it won't be tough.

First you need to collect 489 juteys, then you'll have to grab 21 hiplos within 17 seconds. If you complete that you'll be rewarded with 1 bamto.

Seconding the Collectathon idea, only, why not make it as Suepr Metroid collect a thon instead?

I think that might be awesome.

If this game has fewer than 15 collectable items then I'm not interested. Seriously, I need this to make me feel like I did when I first climbed up Spiral Mountain. I have my faith in Rare to deliver.

I went from playing Nintendo and Super Nintendo, then a large gap of no video games, then Banjo Tooie brought me back--one of my favorite all-time games. I just hope it somehow wanders onto the Wii (probably never)--I'm sure it'll be amazing on 360, but I don't think I can justify the purchase of a whole new console for it.

"maybe they'll tell us what the ice key is for."

Already did in Banjo-Tooie. It's to open the ice door that contains the Mega-Glowbo. Bring the Mega-Glowbo to the Humba Wumba tepee near the entrance to Witchyworld and you can turn Kazooie into a fire-breathing dragon.

No, I didn't make that up.

If it's just like Mario 64(possibly worse) it will probably be terrible. Mario 64 is a mediocre platformer IMO(I've never had fun with that game).

But I highly doubt that.

But if we weren't collecting stuff, what would we be doing?

Yeah, I want to play this game. Even though I think Banjo and Kazooie are ridiculous characters. Even more ridiculous than a tiny soprano Italian plumber.
