Rumortoid: A new OutRun game coming from Sega and THQ?

Racing games are not my usual tipple, but I have fond memories of playing OutRun on an arcade machine at Brand's Hatch with my brother. I think it's just because it had a girlfriend in the car. For some reason that struck me as a mindblowing innovation.

Anyway, this pointless dilly-dallying leads to the rumor that Sega and THQ are working together to give us another dose of this classic racer. The OFLC, Australia's rating board, currently has a listing for OutRun Online Arcade, developed for multiple platforms. 

Sounds good to me. Until we can get an official statement, this is just a rumor, but these listings can often be a good indicator that a game is in the works. With OutRun 2006: Coast to Coast being quite a critical success, I would say this is a likely one.
