It's really easy to keep things like this exciting if you just fu**ing tell people something rather than let the silence hang.
Yet, for all the ones who´d like to see a BGAE 2 I hope this won´t turn out to be vaporware.
WHY ARE YOU NOT REPORTING THIS, DTOID?
Granted, none of the systems had much depth, but I always thought that was kind of the point. The game had so many varied mechanics that it was never worth it to invest too much into a single one. The game was designed in the fashion of a blockbuster thriller, so to speak.
Because Rayman blows. I said it, and I'll fight each and every one of you freaks before I say otherwise.
@Tony Ponce
Clearly you don't understand the power of a woman.
Because anyone who would take a facebook comment with anything more then a microbe would be an idiot. You can name yourself anything and considering that Ubisoft(according to the post linked above) said that the sequel was ANYTHING BUT DEAD, I'd assume that's what he's working on. Especially since the true Rayman series is crap ever since the rabbids came into play. Consider that he has been working on BG&E since it was in preproduction and hasn't touched a Rayman game in years I highly doubt that he's going to drop a game he'd been fighting to have see the light of day for years just because he can make a garbage minigame compilation
Thanks, 'fixdTony Ponce', my thoughts exactly!
So if 2 didnt happen, I dont think I'd care. Though, if it does I'd love to play it and see if they make it better.
Calm down. You'll live either way.
first one down just see what big deal was and I loved it. It will be be a day one purchase if it turns out as good as the first.
well in any case if it comes out on pc, i will pirate it with extreme joy, fuck ubi
Fucking kids.
No, Rayman does not 'blow'. Are you talking about the actual 'Rayman' platformer series, or the shitty 'Rayman Raving Rabbids' series that bears nothing in common with it apart from the name? I'll assume the latter. The platformers are perfectly solid games, in particular Rayman 2, which has a Metascore of 90 and has been listed on both GameSpot and IGN's lists of the 100 greatest games ever.
@ Kingdan97
There seems to be some confusion here. You don't seem to be aware that the Rayman platformers and the Rayman Raving Rabbids party-games are not the same thing. The comment I linked to suggested that the initial rumour (Michel Ancel leaving Ubisoft to start his own studio) was partly correct; that Ancel was starting a new studio which was a subsidiary of Ubisoft because the Montpellier studio was too large, so that he could work on more than one game at a time. How do you know he hasn't been doing some work on a Rayman platformer while BG&e2 has been postponed? It could be a small game, which would explain the founding of a small studio to develop it and similar small games. Most of the development was done back in 2005 anyway, before Ubisoft hijacked it and turned it into a party-game.
And yes I am taking a Facebook comment with 'more then a microbe'. With a whole grain of salt, in fact. Perhaps it was Nicolas Choukroun and perhaps it wasn't; that's why it's a rumour and not a fact.
Good day to you sirs.
This looks so crazy.
