Rumorbomb: EA releasing microphone accessory with Harry Potter on the Wii photo
     Chilluns

It appears that a site broke embargo at GDC during an IRC session, using an anonymous nickname "Raid" to leak the details of an upcoming Harry Potter game for the Wii which will use a clip-on Microphone attachment. So what's the big deal? Spoken spellcasting with Wiimote "wand gestures" could be a killer app, not to mention lots of fun for apprenticing little magicians from the J.K. Rowling cult. Visually speaking, the source says the game is similar to Ico. That's enough to get me excited, Seaman microphones or not.

Here's the full log file of the chat with all the naughty details. Hopefully it will be due out before Q4 so we can actually have a Wii game this summer to look forward to.

That's a disturbing picture.

My girlfriend would be interested in the game, though.

That was the most annoying conversation to read ever... Who talks like that.

So does the Mic communicate to the Wii or to the Wiimote?

Also halfway down he mentions that T and M rated games don't use the friend code system isn't this bigger news or did I miss that announcement?

Huh? does anyone not see the spanish in this?

"y raid se iso pasar como que estubo en el EA keynote y empeso a decir fake info y la gente se lo creia hahaha"

Which means that raid acted as if he was at the EA keynote and started spewing off fake info and everyone believed him. Why am I the only one noticing this?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAAH the "next-gen" label on that image brought Coke out my nose!!!

...Anybody who thinks that img is photoshopped, it's not: it's Harry Potter in some play called Equus, where he stabs out horses' eyes or something.

yeah, that play is equus. It's a big deal her in london, with the british sociolaite brats freaking out. I have a friend who saw it, and she thought it was ok. of course she would, all girls want to see harry's wand. of course, the big news is that daniel radcliff is all surprised gay mags haven't asked him to do a photo spread. England is weird; I miss california.

If the arrow was lower it truly would have been the next generation. Although, I hope they really work on it extra hard. The DS has a hard time with blue. BLUE BLU!!!! MF BLUE!!!!!!

Think how hard it would be for it to detect Wingardium leviosaa

yup- fake. Gonintendo has brief translation in the comments section. I guess it could have been cool but I really didn't want to have to yell out spells in my living room...thats just silly...maybe if it was optional, because it is cool but...Its just asking too much, what if I want to play late and everybody is asleep?

As far as it looking like Ico though, that'd be cool
