...no? ok :(
oh and Jimmy, please leave.
Too right, Jim.
Of course, free to play isn't as much if one is still paying for GOLD in order to play... ergo not free. Nonsensical, but then nonsensical dick moves are Microsoft's specialty.
@Epic Don't forget the Wii U as well. The thought of TF2 w/ WM&N has me drooling. :D
I have no interest in buying a computer either, which means I am SOL.

Anyway, if this results somehow in me getting to play TF2 properly on my xbox then thank God...
He's right though about them being assholes about it. Look at the Angry Birds developers. They made one successful game and they suddenly think they know everything about the video game sales market.
I cannot think of a worse, less supported port than TF2 on consoles.
I'm sure it exists, but MAN, given how much support DAILY the PC version has, it just makes it that much more unbelievable.
This is a good idea since I think most of Live is a ripoff and only holds value by withholding services from non-subscribers when compared to PC and PS3. They don't even provide game servers, P2P on BLOPS just ruins the momentum when the game stops completely to migrate the host.
@Everyone else..I like this idea if the games are good, like say..TF2.
Make it available to Silver members,NON Kinect, and it could be a great selling point.
Yikes!
Yep, and I'm slowly feeling the spork push its way through my eyeball.
Can't wait to download and play... even though I bought the PC version a year or so ago, but whatever its cool.
Might not be too bad.
If Microsoft goes nuts with it, we can always do the next best thing.
IGNORE IT
Would be funny if tons of people played a game but boycotted buying items for it.
Would ruin the whole thing right out.
Though the balanced ones are always nice and TF2 should be setting the bar for what free to play should be, or at least close to.
If the console gaming industry wants to keep up, this is the route they're going to have to go. Just look at Valve; they understand this completely, which is why TF2 is going free-to-play. They're making enough money on people purchasing in-game items (i.e. players deciding for THEMSELVES how much that experience is worth to them) that the game itself doesn't NEED to be bought and paid for.
