Rumor: Xbox 360 Arcade bundle comes only with demos photo

Remember that silly looking Xbox 360 Arcade bundle we just showed you? What's really silly is that the Arcade bundle might only come with Arcade title demos.

According to a tip to Engadget (notice the "rumor" tag), it looks like the Arcade bundle that was supposed to come with Pac-Man Championship, Uno, Boom-Boom Rocket, Feeding Frenzy, and Luxor 2 only comes with a disc of demos for Pac-Man Championship, Uno, Boom-Boom Rocket, Feeding Frenzy, and Luxor 2. Wouldn't that be silly?

I find it hard to believe that Microsoft would create something called an Arcade bundle, and then not pack it in with Arcade games. It doesn't make sense. Of course, as 1UP points out, it's going to be pretty difficult to ask Microsoft to confirm the inclusion of demos in a system bundle that they haven't confirmed yet.

Microsoft giving you a taste and then asking for more money? Shocking, in a not at all shocking way.

It says right there on the box "This package includes a disc with games and demos". I'm betting that it has the full versions of those 5 Arcade games, as well as some demos of other games.

Yo my friend bought one this past weekend, cause his old one red ringed in him. I'll ask him when I go over later.

wait, hasn't there been an unboxing of the arcade already? I swear to god that i read an article saying that they were in stores already. Why is MS being as confusing as Sony with the new package?

That would be dumb if it's true. Why haven't they confirmed this thing yet? Have they not seen the internets?

But it says games and demos so hopefully the rumor is wrong.

I believe it's those 5 games plus five trials as indicated by the back of the game box:http://www.engadget.com/photos/xbox-360-arcade-unboxed/439669/

But if the trial games aren't the ones they're saying are included, why are they featured on the front though (PacMan/Uno)?

@ Zarathustra

I think you're right. The XBOX always came with demos packed into the harddrive. It says right there on the box, "This package includes a disc with games and demos."

Why is everyone making such a big bitch? It's still a much more powerful system than the Wii for only $30 more. What about that rapefest?

How is this a bad thing? Did the original Core console come with a game, or even demos?

This package comes with a wireless controller, 256MB MU and something to play (whether they're full games or demos,) for the same price as the old Core package which had none of those things.

This is a lie, their is only one demo, just go over to xbox-scene they have one and opened it, and dicussed its contents. It even has an HDMI port

if you look at the box art
it looks like it comes with pac man and uno as full games and the other games are demos

think marketing

in bold letter it says "5 games"

in fineprint next to it, it says "game and demos"

leads me to believe uno and pac man (both games one would get tired of real quick)are full games then the other demos come into play on the disc.

Isn't the small text just meant to say: "Whatever is included is rated for the casual crowd"? I'm going with the 5 games + demo's on disc theory. Wouldn't be surprised if they released the disc later on, as a Xbox Live Unplugged Vol.2 disc.

Seeing this picture now and the other with the back of the game box im pretty sure it comes with 5 games Pac Man CE, Luxor, Feeding Frenzy, Boom Boom Rocket and UNO but then reads plus 5 trial games I think the should have just put every game known to live on it I think Saying 5 when there are 5 full games is just confusing people.

That's a complete rip-off. They can afford to give us more than just demo's.

From squinting at the back of the box (and giving myself a headache in the process) the trial games seem to be Zuma, 3D Ultra Mini Golf, Frogger, Marble Blast, and something Solitaire.

So it's 5 games plus 5 demos.

It seems to me that full Arcade titles titles will be included on the disk, with some demos thrown in.

It clearly says Games AND demos.

I am still baffled at the 256MB memory card, why make a new memory card, why not just included the 512MB card? It would not cost that much and make it an actually good arcade bundle.
