An unnamed source has told Joystiq that the next iteration of the Tony Hawk franchise is going to incorporate snowboarding as well as skating. Powder and asphalt, together at last.
Okay, seriously, this is a little ridiculous. It smacks of desperation, particularly in light of Shaun White Skateboarding being a thing that is happening. I'm not saying that they can't pull it off and make a great game, but it feels wrong.
Tony Hawk was floundering in terms of design long before they had any real competition. Now with two strong titles going up against the legendary series, I can't imagine a move like this will win over a lot of people. But where do you take a series like this? How would you want to see Tony Hawk reinvigorated?

Does Tony even ride? They should have him fall over every 10 seconds of riding and unable to do any tricks or spins with out faceplanting then this game would have promise.
