Rumor: PSPGo shipping with voucher for Rock Band Unplugged photo

Concerned about the $249.99 PSPGo price tag? What if it came with a free game, more specifically Rock Band Unplugged

According to PSPGo bundle listings on Best Buy's Web site, the handheld will ship with a voucher to download a digital copy of Rock Band Unplugged (a $39.99 value). As the listing describes, it "lets you start enjoying PSPgo's rocking features right away." Best Buy is offering the PSPGo bundle with voucher in both "Piano Black" and "Pearl White."

Of course, the inclusion of the game in the bundle is unconfirmed. Oh, retailers -- you so crazy! We've reached out to Sony for comment, but haven't received a response at the time of writing.

[Thanks, Belvie!]

I can't personally tell if that's a good deal because I haven't played the game. But I can say it's cool that you get a free game. There's only one thing. It's still a lot of money, with or without a free game. I'm still gonna get it though.

Meh....wish it was something like Metal Gear or...that's all I really care about on the PSP. But, whatever it comes with, including nothing, I'm still buying one the first day.

Did I confuse? Money - I like spending it.

Makes the price a little easier to swallow. Still not great though; the voucher ties the game to one account, where I think should just come installed. Instant resell deduction on the system.

Rock Band Unplugged? Pfft! Forget that, it's gonna take more than that to make me switch to a smaller PSP.

The Sony retail training site lists it as coming with a voucher for Rock Band Unplugged...demo version. That seems more like something Sony would pull.

Yes, it WOULD help convince me... if it weren't for the even CRAPPIER battery life and no ability to swap batteries.

The system looks hot and honestly, the battery life is the only thing I have issue with. I was able to jack up the life of my old PSP with higher capacity batteries (which then allowed me to have TWO charged batteries on hand if needed), so switching to this new PSP would be like chopping the battery life in half.

I understand the system is priced to make Sony some money, but a couple of extra bucks for a better battery wouldn't have broken the bank.

the original PSP came out at $250. this is coming out at the same price with more features. That and it's only $50 more than a DSi. quite bitching. if you don't think you can buy it then start saving or don't buy it.

Am I the only one who thinks playing guitar games with a controller interface is next to impossible when you could be playing it on a plastic guitar?

I mean, will there be a fret bar attachment like in the DS lite version of guitar hero?

Okay first of all, Rock Band Unplugged is a good game.
No theres NO FUCKING fret bar attachment. This game has been out since the middle of June and honestly, how do you not know that?

Back to a more reasonable tone, why don't they plug in gran turismo mobile with it? Im sur that will et much bigger sales...

@pokemisha

I couldn't agree more. GT is a way better incentive.

Why would anybody want the fretboard attachment? That thing is a piece of shit. I am quite happy that Harmonix technically made a new version of Frequency with a Rock Band skin instead of doing what Guitar Hero: On Tour did.

Hey...Rock Band Unplugged is pretty slick! It's strange for a modern rhythm game; frantic yet harmonic. Once you get in the zone, switching between tracks and maintaining the all important combo multiplier, RB: U becomes sublime. It doesn't even feel like Simon Says: it's not a reaction, just something your brain naturally does. I hear Frequency and Amplitude are even better at this.

They're releasing the white also! Great, didnt want fingerprint black. Even more cool if a game gets bundled.

Rock Band Unplugged is actually pretty good. My only qualms with it are the ridiculous MidNight Club 3-esque loading times.

Urgh. Now I don't know if I'll drop the $40 on the game or just wait until I can put down $250 for a PSPgo.

What DinnertimeNinja said.

This would be nice, but I'd rather have the ability to switch batteries and have a spare one included. Especially at the monster price.

This should have come with free toilet paper because I'd use that.

So the story here is that though it looks worse, has a smaller screen and is fucking expensive, it at least comes with a game?

Great.
