Did Sony fail to make you want an ultra-portable, super-connected PSPgo during its first marketing run for the device? Rumor has it that they'll be giving the "go" another go in the near future.
An unnamed source "close to Sony" is telling Gamervision that that a PSPgo "relaunch" is happening soon, accompanied by what the Web site describes as a "marketing blitz" for the handheld that could, but just doesn't.
Speculation is all that's left of this story, but we can't help but wish that Crash Bandicoot would make his triumphant return alongside this alleged second push of the PSPgo. We have no real reason for this, other than our fancy for fur suits.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
Just being attractive and ergonomical doesn't mean I'm going to drop an extra 100 dollars on it.
I'm all for lowering my carbon footprint and downloading games, but from a price standpoint I can get way better deals on actual copies.
Sony has to rethink its whole marketing stategy and price points if it wants this thing to work.
Drop in some free credit for the PSN so I can re-buy Monster Hunter freedom Unite and I'll be a happy chappy.

PROFIT!!!
You wanna fix this car crash console, its simple, Sony. External UMD drive, UMD game transfer support and a far lower price point. I'd rather see the money you beggars are going to throw at a second stupid launch aimed at that.
Then and only then will this thing get my support.
And the $250 price tag is just ridiculous, come on.
That said I really wish they'd put 'sales' on PSN PSP titles. I just bought dissidia the other week at target for 20 bucks and its still 40 on PSN. Fix that stupid 'pricing parity' idea and knock of 50 bucks and I'm sure they'll sell tons.
That and the digital catalog needs some serious updating for the Go to look like a good offer. Right now you're missing out on a lot of great games without a UMD slot. Like Metal Gear Acid.
I have a PSP3k from Japanland, so they won't be selling me a micro sized version with half the compatibility. Not to mention the buttons are way too small for me.
Lumines plain and simple. Denying Lumines a place on the PSPgo is like denying the existence of Tetris on the Game Boy.
It's a platform selling title. Pay the fucking licensing fees to Shinichi Osawa (Mondo Grosso) and get the game out there as a downloadable PSN title.
That being said, I hope they fail miserably with this. The purely digital format hinders us and our communities greatly.
From one standpoint, local shops will lose consumer because they can't sell product. Some may scoff at this, but that's far more important than most people realize.
Secondly, as the consumers we will be forced to purchase software purely at a publishers discretion. I don't know about anyone else, but $39.99 for a digital version of software we can easily find for $30 or less? I think not.
This generation of gaming has introduced a plethora or problems, but this is an example of one of the worst. Companies are getting too greedy for their own good.
I have seen download cards for sale at local retail. So they can sell the games even if it is digital downloads. What they can't sell is used products. Which keeps the prices high, and will be their downfall.
Sony thinks that they are Apple and can sell this closed device to the elite market that Apple sells to. Problem Sony, is that you don't have the store that apple does, and you don't have the pricing that apple does. You will continue to fail with the PSPNova until you get a better store and better pricing. When people can boot up their PSP on Tuesday and download the latest PSP game for $10 less then in a store, you have yourself a winner.
And to the people who think it will kill retail if they do the discount. It might, but the iPod didn't. Accessories, cards, music, movies, etc, the add-ons will pay more then the games.
