An alleged list of new achievements for Super Street Fighter 4 containing stuff from Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition has hit the internet. The list includes images of Yun and Yang (two characters that have yet to be announced for the arcade version), Evil Ryu (all shirtless and red eyed) and a glowing purple guy that looks a lot like Akuma. Internet people have already taken to calling this purple man "Oni Akuma" (Ogre Demon in Japanese), because one of the achievements correlated to his image is called "Birth of the Oni". I like the name, so I'm rolling with it, though I expect some Street Figther fans will be irritated with me for that.
Speaking of which, a lot of folks are already calling this out as "definitely fake", just like they did with the Street Fighter Vs. Tekken rumor, and multiple other Street Fighter related rumors that turned out to be real. There seems to be something about Street Fighter that makes a lot of its fans feel entitled to take on the role of honorary myth-buster. Why can't they just learn to revel in the joy of a good rumor like the rest of us? Street Fighter 4 producer Yoshinori Ono sure can.
