Sounds great. But at the same time, I think this just shows how easy it is to make FPS games. Once you make one, you can churn out another a lot faster. Which is a bad thing and a good thing at the same time...<.<
Nah, I'm perfectly fine with Killzone 2. The only thing I feel like they can offer with 3 is more story, and that's not at all why I play Killzone.
Killzone 2 is the only First Person Shooter since the original Doom that's been good enough for me to purchase, IMO. I'm on board with Killzone 3, but please...let's hold out until Fall or the End of Year Holidays.
I still like playing KZ2 and I want to get more mileage out of those three expansions I bought at full price before GG abandons support of KZ2.

I did not play this game enough. It was so good while I did, though. The modern setting (and my roommate begging me to play with him) brought me back to COD4 after a long absence, though, and I haven't regretted it yet.
I'd welcome a sequel to such a quality shooter no matter what.

Not a chance unless...it's been in development while k2 was and was planned this way. K2 had a cliffhanger ending you know visari had another general that is gonna use him as a martyr to continue the war.

I'm actually prone to agree with Reptite. KZ2's single player was a fairly typical FPS experience that wasn't overly wowing, kind of like the first Killzone. I'm honestly prone to agree that the graphics are the best thing about KZ2, its campaign was meh and its multiplayer will be forgotten once MAG and Modern Warfare 2 come out. Plus KZ2 is at best the fourth-best PS3 title in my opinion, behind MGS4 and the two Uncharted titles.
Anyway, I'd be very surprised to see KZ3 come out in 2010. Honestly that would be too soon, like L4D2 kind of 'too soon'.

I would hope they'd explore the Helghast more - the backstory that's largely unused in the game basically sets the Helghast up as the good guys...would be nice to see this angle explored further rather then Rico.
Hope this is true. Love killzone. The gameplay is perfect, all they need to do is improve the writing. Lots of multiplayer fixes are needed, but nothing that cant be done in a year's time.
I hope the control lag from Killzone 2 is fixed in Killzone 3. That ruined Killsone 2 for me. Also, Treyarch, please stop. Just stop.
Hmm. That does seem a little early, I'd much prefer that they realese it at least 2011, so as we get top quality, but if done correctly, this could be the PS3 major franchise, as Nintendo has Mario, and Microsoft has Halo (that franchise seems to have no plans of stopping), so Sony still has yet to have one. God of War could be, but that series seems to be ending with God of War 3.

Can't wait for a new killzone 3. This will mean that I would stop playing killzone 2 some some people would complain that it's to soon but I think that most of us will stop playing it anyways by the end of this year because modern warfare 2 is comming out in only a few days so guerrilla actually does need to realese a 3rd one to get those players back who are switching over from killzone 2 over to COD modern warare 2.

It announces that Killzone 3 is playable at the HME-expo. The codes you see are for a PS3 MAG beta contest. So here it is, Killzone 3!
Oh god, I hope that this game isn't going to be as hyped up as KZ2 was. Killzone 2 was a severe disappointment, and YES, I have actually played the game. I was part of the hype, and I bought it on release day. I know for sure that I will not be purchasing KZ3 unless it makes some dramatic improvements over the previous game.
Also, did anyone else notice many many many similarities between the online play of Killzone 2 and Team Fortress 2?

Totally agree with all the Dark Cloud 3 talk. I think DC2 is one of the best PS2 games ever made. There was SOOOO much content in it, it was like 10 games in one.
