That "super needler thing" looks like a combo of the Needler and Carbine. MAYBE WE CAN COMBINE WEAPONS?! That BR looks pretty good too.
Wonder what MS will do to good ol' Tom when they catch wind of this, assuming these are real. And also not viral marketing, which is what I'm leaning towards.
i await the day that phones take hi res pictures.....but in the meantime i guess this will suffice. Cool that we can see even rumored photos though. Normally the wait of pictures like these is a long one.
It's looking pretty interesting, obviously lots of place holder textures and such in some of those screen shots.
Jeez, I'm really disappointed this isn't the third person, squad-based Halo game I've been dreaming of. For what it is though, it looks pretty nice.

Not really interested in this game. Bungie needs to pull their heads out of their asses and invent a new IP. Halo has been burnt out for a long time now. If Reach is anything like ODST, or even Halo 3, in terms of story, then I honestly do not give a shit.

What the fucking shit was that? The offspring of a technological three-way among the Needler, the Carbine, and the Fuel Rod Cannon?
I hope they put some time into the engine for Reach. It was really starting to show its age with ODST.

Wow, the weapon detail is leaps and bounds above Halo 3. The environments are clearly very "work in progress." I suspect Bungie will put in some real effort for the visuals. Halo 3 did not age well (really wasn't all the great graphically to begin with).
It looks too much like what we're used to for my liking. It would be nice to see Halo move away from what it's always been, in a direction that's not Halo Wars.

Plus the Needler-carbine-laser is too cheap to be true...even if they made such a weapon, they wouldn't do it by mashing the three weapons together. It's an easy photoshop job, that's for sure...and the radar is directly taken from ODST, too.

Hey, can someone change the header image to the ones from the NeoGAF thread instead? Turns out the dude posting the images with watermarks had pinched them from elsewhere and added a watermark to give himself more hits.

They look legit to me, even down to the menus, it's extremely Halo. New weapons look interesting, and is that a night-time level I see? Haven't had one of those in years (And no, Mombasa Streets doesn't fucking count. Quarantine Zone wasn't bad, but it wasn't stand-out either). It'd be sweet, as Truth & Reconciliation was a great night-time level.
Can I just assume this is a modded version of Halo 2 on the PC? Or something?

I find this to be a very telling shot. Bottom center, there appears to be a progress bar of some sort, perhaps experience or something like that. Bottom right, there's the word "Credits" with a number underneath, suggesting in-game currency.
And judging by this shot:
the weapon detail has significantly increased. Not to mention the fact that players apparently fight in space.

Looking at the one with the warthog, it looks like a Spartan with a Mark V (Halo CE) helmet in the warthog. Hard to tell though.

Thanks for posting all of those images, Arkhon, I was too lazy to go look. I guess it's pointless to speculate now how this will turn out, but I'm kinda interested. I like Halo games, no shame here.

This is either real or somebody has faked it very well.
Bungie employees were taking dev units home to test mulitplayer recently, it seems one unit found it's way to somebody who didn't feel the need for secrecy.
That and forum mods on bungie.net are molesting everybody who whispers about these pictures.

I was really hoping for something drastically different. This looks like what Halo 3 should have been in the first place.
My freind said he read somewhere hat the BR was going to be 12 round clip and single shot so idk if that leaked info is tru as well but idk well wait and see the beta hopefully itll be a blast.
Tom may get a phone call to either clean up his desk or to be told to find himself a lawyer. Depending on whether he works there or not.
