And disappointed. We don't need any more characters. Have Frank and Chuck, choose which. A different character every game doesn't sound great.
I wanted to adore DR2, not play DR1 with a new coat of paint. I don't think they can do a game that isn't a cash grab.
i haven't bought Off the Record.
"One interesting tidbit a source tells Siliconera, is Dead Rising 3 has an undercurrent of themes about illegal immigration. Another character called Red leads an underground group of "illegals," which are infected people that aren’t registered by the government."
interesting :D
i wonder if the opening sequence is on a plane or something???
wanna see some new things and improvements :P
Personally I hope they use this game to point out the huge gaping flaws in Phenotrans's little Zombrex scheme.
"Yes, thanks to this massive zombie outbreak we created, thousands of people will want to buy Zombrex! ...Apart from the thousands we turned into mindles zombies just to make this stuff. And because of all the outbreaks we caused people have become less afraid and better skilled at dealing with zombies so less people need Zombrex. And I guess Frank West told every other pharmcutical company about the Queens so now they have their own zombie cure forcing us to drive our prices down to remain competitive..."
"But this whole Zombie enterprise will still work out for us in the end! It didn't do Umbrella any harm, did it?"
...
Hopefully the game's at least given more love and polish than DR2. I was not impressed with the atmosphere of the entire game, felt too comic book-ish. That probably wouldn't bother me if the first games mall hadn't felt like a real mall.
Yeah, but thats kind of a given, anyone could have said that and it'd be true.
Otherwise, yeah, sounds plausible. The original image you guys had on this article (I think it changed?) made me kinda think/hope it had something to do with a prison, but a town is a good idea. Case Zero totally won me over with how its small town played out, going bigger with that could be really great... Although, even if I like the immigration tensions idea, I'd really appreciate an east coast Dead Rising.. Like not New York City or anything cliche like that, but a small New England or Mid-cost Tourist town or something. I kind of don't get why they're sticking to the west when the series has made it clear that the country, if not the world, is having this issue.
