RUMOR: Beautiful Katamari for PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii

RUMOR: Beautiful Katamari for PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii photo
     Food
Orange Lounge Radio has dug up some info on an alleged new entry into the Katamari universe. Entitled Beautiful Katamari, OLR claims that the game will be making its way to the Xbox 360 and the PS3, with appropriate SIXAXIS support, this October. A Wii version is to follow shortly thereafter, sometime in November.

While this hasn't been confirmed by Namco, OLR backs up ther claim with a recent Beautiful Katamari trademark as well as video game distributor sources of their own. Still, until an official announcement, take this rumor with a grain of salt.

In the meantime, take a gander at the food katamari I made back in 2005.

I'd basically die if it came out for the Wii. Katamari would work awwwwwwwwwwesome on the Wii. And if the 360 version is any different, looks like I'll be snatching up two Katamaris this fall.

Agreed, the PS3 is much better equipped to bring something new to the series than the 360.

Of course, the game did just fine in the past with two analog sticks (albeit in a more staggered position this time around) so I'm sure the 360 version would rock.

But the PS3 version would rock more.

BRING IT! I am so saddened that I won't buy a PS3 and won't get to enjoy Katamari or REZ, so any multiplatforming they do is good.

This was a Quarterman rumor on EGM a couple months back. Though they claimed that the Xbox360 version would be a Live arcade game. Interesting to see the rumor crop up again after so long.

Wow multi-platform Katamari? How much acid did Namco supply the development team this time. Even though I don't own a 360 or a PS3 it would be really interesting to see a next-gen Katamari game.

I might get the 360 version but certainly the Wii version at least...if the game gets confirmed...come on Namco! Make it happen.

Also point out that we called Konami's line up and Wired called us liars :)

Yeah and if you have Soulcalibur III, you already have a demo of the first one. I've had Soulcalibur III for like half a year and just realized there's a Namco demo disk in the case with a Katamari demo and a few others.

I just may have to buy a PS3 now. Plus I am probably going to pick this game up for my Wii. I can't wait

its listed as 39.99 for ps3 and 360 and 29.99 for the wii version. The low price has me worried, maybe its some sort of port or a collection of the 1st and 2nd. Even so, I would still buy it... but Id rather have something new and fresh to roll around in.
