God dammit. As much as I LOVE playing this game, there is just absolutely no way I could ever defend something like this. If this were just "Hey, here's all the map packs for this price!" I'd understand, then it's no worse than a season pass. But all that extra shit? ESPECIALLY the server queue priority? Fuck and that my good sir.

I can't wait for the kiddies with too much disposable income to swarm this game and start up a $110 club that spits on the face of the poor and smelly.
They really managed to fuck over most of the people who bought this game. The Server structure already fucked the game on Xbox 360/PS3 by giving people who pay for a server the power to boot any player at any time and kill them at any time by transferring teams. They also made it very hard to find an official server and even when you do they are almost always full and there is only a handful of them.
The balance of the game has also been terrible from the start. New players are at such a huge disadvantage. You don't have any good guns, effective anti-vehicle weapons, or any vehicle perks. Of course, they did this on purpose so that they could sell all the unlockables as "DLC" for new players, basically forcing new players to either pay up, or have no fun the first 50 hours they play.
I was already done with the series, but now I'm even more pissed off. EA and DICE have really left me with a bad taste in my mouth. The Battlefield series has been killed and buried then resurrected and killed again all in one game.
Now this bullshit. Not only are they screwing over day one buyers by making Back To Karkand part of this, they also are essentially putting a pay wall on their already terrible matchmaking system, so that people who don't want to put down money on a basically unsupported, terribly unbalanced game seemingly designed to suck up as much money as possible from fans can get an EVEN WORSE EXPERIENCE.

It would be fine if the Premium players were locked away on their own servers and banished from the ghettos reserved for those too poor to own the full experience.
Having never played battlefield or COD and being certainly no worse for it..... I don't get why people don't just flip these greedy bastards the bird and move to another FPS?

OMG haters, BF3 has been out for half a year, this is for the people who will know that they will play the game for a long time anyway, so its also worth more money to them, since they get so much playtime out of it.

Excluding the Vietnam Expansion, all of the map packs were free for Bad Company 2 if you bought the VIP Edition (basically as long as you bought the game new). It's amazing how they could go from being one of the best examples of a release done right to one of the worst.

@Pippin, I didn't know the Pippin was a thing. I like on its wiki page it says, "tacos" (VGA/16-bit) for graphics. They should've advertise its taco power when it came out because anything that's taco powered should be able to dominant.

I can't believe I actually bought this game. Guess I have learned a harsh lesson.EA has just lost another customer.
I told myself I wouldn't sell any more games to Gamestop, but in Battlefield 3's case I feel justified, even if they only give me a dollar.
Since I'm not into yearly rehashes of generic FPS games, this has no effect on me.

This is the same company that mused about making users pay for extra ammo (as per Riccitello's statement last year at an investor conference). Are you really surprised a Premium service is happening?
