Also, would you be able to sucker Hamill into playing Joker again?
Mark Hamill doesn't need be Joker anymore
A Batman game fully realized in TAS art style would make me run around in a Batman suit for a week out of excitement, though.
Ultimately, their games are amazing, so I'll hope they are working on something. DC's strategy of monetizing its characters just 'cause sounds like absolute shit, though.
Maybe it's gonna be like Hitman Contracts, with Bats beaten up in the middle of a big threat of Gotham, and he'll be having flashbacks about the Joker and Justice League (Maybe the JL come to help him)
and The Joker could be John DiMaggio, his work in Under The Red Hood was amazing
Incidentally, Batman's first meeting with Joker was in the Golden Age, not Silver Age.
What I would believe is that it’s one of their trippy dream sequences done in the Silver Age style, or if they wanted to be really awesome, camp 60’s Batman style. They should hire Adam West to voice the whole section and have POW and ZONK appear when you hit enemies, you can have that idea for free Rocksteady.
You know what would be really crazy? Let's say they started with Adam West as the lighthearted 60's Batman. Then as we got closer to the present time they could show how he became the older, psychotic version from The Dark Knight Returns. Now that could be amazing.
I'm disappointing that they don't go forward and the idea of ANY tie in to a movie makes my skin crawl. I'll reserve judgement till I see the actual game before I start panicking that Rocksteady is the next Bioware.
I agree completely. For an example of why superman is a terrible character, one need only watch the south park episode "fun with weapons". Having the power to have every power is fucking fail writing. Unless of course you are parodying superman.
I'm curious about the silver age aspect as well. Taking aesthetics from the 50's, sure, but how far back in time are we talking? Or are we just going to ignore specific years and just say "in the past"?
Curious to see if this is legit.
Though this justice league business sounds dull.
