Have you seen this yet? It's a teaser trailer for a first-person horror game called Routine in development for PC and Mac at Lunar Software. I'm glad to see it's been gaining traction this week, because conceptually, the game seems ambitious -- especially for a small team -- but not overly so. That's UDK for you.
Described as non-linear, Routine has you exploring a seemingly abandoned moon base without the aid of a heads-up display or health pick-ups. It's set in an "80's vision of the future," both in terms of audio design and aesthetics, which is why you saw that floppy disk. Mick Gordon (Dead Space 3) will be responsible for the game's sound and music.
Honest-to-goodness hiding in a horror title? Yes, yes, that does sound promising. I really do hope this isn't one of those projects we're prepared to fall in love with only for it to go permanently unfinished.
Anyway, I read a bunch of shit on this game recently, and an interview with one of the guys responsible for it. I'm pretty stoked about it so far, and I'm happy to see it on Dtoid.
I love the idea of this and it looks like it is being executed well. It's frankly what I wish Moon for the DS would have been. Too much bad action in that. :( HIGH hopes for this though!!
I'm still kind of mad about Microsoft not showing up to gamescom or Tokyo Game Show last year. It was like going to a party where you expected one of the regulars to show up, but the whole experience just ended up being awkwa...
