That's a screenshot of Rory McIlroy, the co-coverboy (with, uh, Tiger Woods) of Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11. He's a 21-year-old golf phenom from Northern Ireland who won his first PGA Tour event this past Sunday at Quail Hollow, shooting a course-record-breaking 62 in his final round. You'll probably be hearing his name much more often in the near future, which is why EA sent out 14 in-game images of him.
One of the big reasons why McIlroy is on the cover of the game is that for the first time, Tiger Woods PGA Tour will feature the Ryder Cup, a biennial golf tournament between the United States and Europe. You can take part in a 24-player online Ryder Cup, and if you get the PS3 version, you'll be able to play the game with PlayStation Move when the tech launches later this year.
I don't have 23 friends who play Tiger Woods PGA Tour -- not even online. But maybe that'll change this year! Will any of you join me?
