Roku has announced its next version of its streaming player, the Roku 2, and… it plays Angry Birds?
The game will be included free in Roku's top-of-the-line XS model, which will run consumers $99.99. Roku hints that this partnership with Rovio -- who designed this version of Angry Birds around the streaming player -- is just the beginning for its casual gaming push. The Roku player also gives users access to a broad range of media content, including Pandora, Netflix, and Revision 3 programing like our own Destructoid show.
Interesting announcement, as I was just talking to Dale North (who loves his Roku) about picking one up last week. I don't necessarily need Angry Birds in my living room, but I suppose I'll wait for the Roku 2, which is expected to ship later this month.
