Oh man, that looks like such good controls! The animations are so fluid! I need it on PC for m/k controls, but it would look sooooooo nice on the big screen.

Multiplayer in Max Payne! The amount I care about multiplayer in Max Payne would need to be measured on a microscopic level. The game is looking really good though
I worry the game will lose sales from the RDR/GTA crowd that missed out on MP 1 and 2 looking for another open-world game.

Can somebody point me to an example of a game that did this exact thing before ME3 did it? And I don't mean a co-op, I mean that precise thing.
Is there any info on if they will allow mods? The first Max Payne games had some of the best mods I have ever seen.
@Jynx: Not really. Rockstar has a devoted following. LA Noire might not have reached the sales of RDR, but it came out pretty well because of the brand name publishing it. There's a lot of uninitiated folks interested Max Payne 3 and I believe the multiplayer is enticing enough for them. Personally, the videos have done wonders in selling Max Payne to a new audience.
@Tin Man: Killzone 2 had something similar, Ghostbusters: The Video Game had a loose campaign for the MP, too. Gang Wars has a story running through it, one that changes cutscenes and objectives, depending on which side is doing better.
Anyway, time to re-install Max Payne 1 & 2...again.

I'm still trying to see the appeal in this series...I never played one or two, but what I've seen looks pretty generic as far as Rockstar games go. Does it mostly lie in the fluid controls, and is the story pretty fun/interesting?
Why should i be paying £40 for them to be wasting time on multiplayer? I am not interested in multiplayer, never have been. if I want max payne multiplayer, I would be asking for a game called "max payne multiplayer". instead the time and cost of development, that could have been spent improving the single player game ( AS IT SHOULD BE) is being wasted on some tacked on crap that i have no intention of ever using.

Was originally interested in mainly the single player but fuck me that multiplayer looks awesome! Love how by the looks of things they transitioned the singleplayer mechanics to the multiplayer and kept them pretty much intact, 6 weeks to go! \o/
@tremault - Because Max Payne 3 comes with multiplayer and Rockstar don't exactly do "tacked on" experiences so this will be good!

MP 1 and 2 have a GREAT story, you should give it a go on PC since they are cheap on Steam nowadays.

Eh..looks alright. Looks like Uncharted 3's multiplayer. I don't know how bullet time will work out on line. If every player has the ability to suddenly slow every other player to a crawl that could get annoying. Ah well....I'm not buying Max Payne for the multiplayer.
@ Tin Man, Halo Reach and Killzone 3 both had excellent iterations of the concept that is behind "Gang Wars."
Of course, Halo Reach and Killzone 3 both have multiplayer experiences that are exponentially better than any MP to come out of a Take Two property (GTA4, BioShock 2, RDR), so we'll have to see how the execution pans out.
This looks better than any MP R* has ever done before...here's hoping they've gotten better at it. GTA's MP was embarrasingly bad and RDR's MP wasn't that great. Sure, it was great to start out, but after about two hours, all the shine was gone.

Umad? Pretty easy to keep the level of quality across the board with the teams Rockstar has, but then again you can't blind rage at MP if you try to be rational I guess.

one might argue that RDR and GTA4 could have been even better games had the budget not been split between SP and MP. after all that's plain economics.
either that or the revenues from two separate games MP and SP, would have allowed either cheaper games or for more dev team members and allow for more quality games to be released on a faster schedule.
