Destructoid is gaming news, community, videos, and sometimes love. Take the tour or jump in with Facebook:

The above video was culled from a half hour long chunk of programming on the FX network (y'know, the one that brought you the violent, non-Commish Michael Chiklis). Apparently it's a countdown to the premiere of the actual Grand Theft Auto IV trailer, and, predictably, the Internet is sporting an e-hardon the likes of which hasn't been seen since that faux-Britney Spears hummer video a few months back.

I think we all need to step back for a moment and reiterate exactly what this is, before we all start actually understanding what the hell is going on in David Lynch movies; it's a half hour long infomercial advertising an ad. Soon, we're going to be having conversations about conversations we once had, while watching a reunion episode of Laverne and Shirley where Laverne and Shirley watch a reunion episode of Laverne and Shirley.

The end draws nigh.

Hey I, for some reason, actually watched that for about 20 minutes. Then I thought about what my cat would look like in my spartan markIV helmet. Then I went to bed.

I saw that the other night on Spike I think...I was too drunk and too tired to remember but I was sitting there waiting and wondering if the sound was in my head or on the tv. I eventually fell asleep waiting and had this crazy dream about zombies and robots fighting for control of a post-apocalyptic planet earth.

Now that we've talked about this, do you really think I can begin to understand David Lynch movies? Because I'd put that somewhere around "not bloody likely."

Wait, they spent 30 minutes on JUST the countdown? Seriously?

Commentators commenting on previous comments IS television.
It is entirely self-referential.
That's why I play video games.

Re: David Lynch movies
All you need to know is that Naomi Watts has a topless lesbian scene in Mulholland Drive. That's all you need to know.

@ ridley80:

You've just convinced me to add Mulholland Drive to my Netflix queue.

You know they kinda did the same thing for Spider-Man 3, promoting the premiere of the last trailer to debut online with TV ads and ads in movies. Not that it's any less mind-blowing.

@mxyzptlk and ridley Naomi gets naked in 21 grams also. No lesbian scene though. Really long nipples...

I am pretty sure that Eraserhead (david lynch) is the only movie that I actually wanted to watch and I shut it off because it sucked that bad

@ ridley,

Naomi Watts also has a disturbingly hot angry masterbation scene in that movie.
That may be worth knowing.
