Some new details on the upcoming Korean MMO based in the Mega Man universe, Rockman Online, have hit the web. Developer Neowiz has set up a blog for the game with information on its setting and what appear to be character types.

According to the blog, it appears that players will be taking on the roles of reploids created based upon Mega Man X series characters X, Zero and Duo. Set long after the demise of these characters (and seemingly everyone else from X) and at a point when the Sigma Virus seems no longer a threat, Mavericks begin cropping up again and wreaking havoc. In response, the United Continent Association -- a world government organization -- creates these replica reploids and dispatches them to quell outbreaks.

Pretty cool, if you ask me. It doesn't sound like canon stuff at all -- especially as it seems Doctors Light and Wily have somehow returned -- but that's never stopped me from being interested before. I want to play this.
