Following yesterday's surprise announcement for a game we totally weren't told about weeks ago, Konami has finally seen fit to share with us some fresh screenshots from Rocket Knight. The retro revival will see Sparkster make a glorious return on XBLA, PSN and Steam, and these new screenshots indicate that the return will be a sexy one.
What really stands out for me is are the projectile attacks in this game. The stylistic circles representing smoke and the colored fumes trailing from fireballs and rockets look really beautiful. Just check out the ballistics in the header image and you'll see what I mean.
This game is quite clearly going to be a looker when it releases. Let's hope it plays just as gorgeously.
