Rock Band Mobile? Yep, it's coming your way photo

I remember when I saw the previews for Rock Band Unplugged, I wasn't convinced a portable version of Rock Band was such a good idea. I had visions of people singing into thir PSPs in inappropriate public locations, but of course the game encourages no such madness. It's more like a traditional button mashing rhythm game in its portable version, and that's not such a bad thing.

Six screens popped up today from Rock Band Mobile, which you can check out in our gallery. Kotaku reports that EA Mobile's Facebook page also lists the 25 tracks that will be available for the game (see a full list after the jump). It launches September 16th for the Verizon network, and so far there's no word onif it will come to the iPod/iPhone, which is a shame because that's the only phone with a screen large enough for me to consider playing it on. Let's hope we hear more on that front soon...

30 Seconds to Mars - Attack
30 Seconds to Mars - The Kill
AFI - Girls Not grey
Angels & Airwaves - It Hurts
Beastie Boys - Sabotage
Blink-182 - All the Small Things

Finley - Tutto E’Possibile
Foo Fighters - Learn to Fly
Foo Fighters - Everlong
George Thorogood and the Destroyers - Bad to the Bone
Jethro Tull - Hymn #A43
Joan Jett - Bad Reputation
Lynyrd Skynyrd - Simple Man
Motorhead - Ace of SpadesCollect
Rise Against - Give It All
Silversun Pickups - Lazy Eye
Smashing Pumpkins - Cherub Rock
Steve Miller Band - Take the Money and Run
Tempted - Squeeze

I'm surprised they haven't just made one for the pc, graphics calculators, microwaves, ovens, everything that has a screen

Sheesh, they're taking a page out of Neversoft's book and are milking the franchise for everything it's worth.

Verizon has the BB Storm, which has a nice large screen (though the phone itself is a "meh".)

Full MP3s and I'll consider it. GH3 Mobile is AWFUL.

Still, this is pushing the boat out a fair bit, do we really need it on every platform known to man?

Looking at the set list, the first four songs make me wish I had eyeliner, girl pants, and a razor blade. Thankfully, my phone is a turd and can't run this.

I have been waiting for Harmonix to release something on iPhone.

All the music games in the App Store right now range from awful to decent for an hour.

HMX hasn't sold out like Activision, so why the whining? This is good for mobile users to have RB on the go. This is just another creative expansion for the RB name on other platforms

Gene Eric : People likes to complain! Why they port it to mobile? because the game is fun! Off course those compagnies want to make money, whats the problem? Why do you think you can find Tetris on every plateform. Dont buy it if you dont like to play on your cell phone :)

It's really good idea like portable version of Rock Band.

you can chek this also for profit.

With the increased popularity of the Android mobile phones, getting your application noticed just seems to get harder and harder.
