Rock Band DLC: White Stripes, The Futureheads, and more photo

If you weren't happy with the 105 tracks that hit Rock Band Network yesterday, don't worry -- Harmonix and MTV Games are still supplying your weekly does of "regular" old DLC. Here's what to expect next week:

The White Stripes Pack 02 ($5.49/440 MS Points for the pack, or $1.99/160 MS Points/200 Wii Points)

  • "Fell in Love with a Girl" +
  • "Seven Nation Army"
  • "You Don't Know What Love Is (You Just Do As You're Told)" +

Single Tracks

  • The Futureheads - "Decent Days & Nights" + ($1.99/160 MS Points/200 Wii Points)
  • The Futureheads - "Hounds of Love" + ($1.99/160 MS Points/200 Wii Points)
  • The James Gang - "Walk Away" + ($1.99/160 MS Points/200 Wii Points)
  • Neil Peart - "The Hockey Theme" + ($.99/80 MS Points/100 Wii Points)
  • Shaimus - "All of This" + ($.99/80 MS Points/100 Wii Points)
  • Shaimus - "Tie You Down" + ($.99/80 MS Points/100 Wii Points)

+ denotes you can also play and download it in LEGO Rock Band.

At this rate, expect there to be 50 billion* songs available for Rock Band by the end of 2010.

* Estimated; not an actual number.

I'd enjoy having the White Stripes pack but not enough to pay for it. /shrug

Finally. Seven Nation Army. Now I can feel less shame for buying the other WS pack. Too bad the third song holds no interest for me, I'd sweep for both packs otherwise.

Fell in Love with a Girl is like 1 minute long. As cool as it is, I can't justify $2.

Hmm let's see... Rockband? Gay. "white stripes"? Gay. "futureheads"? Obviously very gay. Why is this Nick Chester posting gay things?

The new White Stripes songs sorta make me wish I still had my copy of Rock Band...but not really.

Seven Nation Army and Decent Days & Nights for me.

The latter is merely because it was in Burnout 3. Which had an awesome soundtrack.

White Stripes pack= bought.

I also really like that Shaimus song "All of this". Reminds me of the good ol' days of Guitar Hero 1.

@Jon B: I think I bought 5 or 6 albums by different bands just because of Burnout soundtracks.

Looking at it, from Burnout 3 alone, I bought 4 albums. Already owned 2. So yeah, I'd put their soundtracks up there with GTA's, easily.

Fuck yeah! Futureheads will be amazingly fun to play (I just wish you could do harmonies). Good White Stripes songs too.

Hell Yeah! Shaimus's "All of this" was one of the best bonus songs of GH1!

I will break my "no DLC" promise to pay the $0.99 for this, until they release "Heart Full of Black" as well.

I love the Futureheads, which is weird considering my distaste for current music.

This is The White Stripes Pack that should've been the first time around. Thank you Harmonix.

Also, All of This by Shaimus? FUCK YES PLEASE!

Oh. And they need to put Millionaire by Queens of the Stone Age since they obviously have it licensed.

Yeah. It's in the Bad Company 2 commercial, I thought.

Man, I don't remember "Fell in Love with a Girl" being so short, so that may be a pass for me. Everything else looks good though, probably will check those out.

That means EA has rights to use it in that one commercial. EA doesn't handle licensing in RB. MTV Games does.

Fuck yeah! The Futureheads are amazing, and Decent Days and Nights is one of their better songs.

I wish I had enough money for all the Rock Band DLC I want...

I just assumed that because of the decent amount of correlation with EA Sports soundtracks and Rock Band songs.

Remember how Jack White says he hates music games? He must not hate the money that they give him.

@Gh0ulunatic
Actually he was misquoted. Jack White doesn't hate music games. He just meant he missed the days of radio and only radio. Now the kids have internetz and music games and it's a different landscape.

Could you imagine the irony if "Fell in love with a girl" COULDN'T be played in LEGO Rock Band? Hahaha.
