While I wait patiently for the entirety of Weezer's debut record to hit Rock Band, I suppose I'll have to settle for everything but. This week brings even more Weezer tracks to the platform, including the popular single "Beverly Hills" and two tracks from the band's recent record, Raditude (yes, the one with the track that features Lil' Wayne).
Weezer Track Pack 03 ($5.49/440 MS Points for the pack, $1.99/160 MS Points 200 Wii Points per song)
- "Beverly Hills"
- "Let It All Hang Out"
- "(If You're Wondering if I Want You To) I Want You To" +
Single tracks ($1.99/160 MS Points/200 Wii Points a piece)
- Limp Bizkit - "Build a Bridge" +
- The Offspring - "A Lot Like Me" +
- Yellowcard - "Ocean Avenue" +
(The + indicates the song is downloadable for LEGO Rock Band as well)
On a Weezer note, I'd like to point out that we live in a strange world where Rivers Cuomo penned a song that is on the debut album of Adam Lambert, the runner up from the last season of American Idol. I'm also sitting here remembering the time I saw Limp Bizkit perform live, and the crowd was heckling them so badly that Fred Durst threw a hissy fit and walked off stage.
That was awesome.

By the way, why so surprised that Rivers is penning a song for corporate American Idol runner up? He himself is a corporate owned stoolie. I might get total flak for this, but just because he makes accessible indie rock for disillusioned teens and adults doesn't put him above the corporate hierarchy of the "do-as-i-say-now" music industry.
Beverly Hills is going to be one boring song to play, though.

And you are absolutely right. They have tons of fans and could keep themselves afloat. Look at Ween, they finally abandoned their record contract, and still put out albums and sell out shows. Weezer just needs to do it.
@LemonSaint
Limp Bizkit played at a Mr. Bungle show? That's the biggest disgrace to good music I've literally ever heard.
On that note: Mr. Bungle and Faith No More (Patton as lead) DLC... Angel Dust would make the best album dlc ever.
Also, I was totally unaware that Fred Durst was even still alive. What's he been doing all these years, hiding away from all the people he pissed off? Still, never heard this song. The only good thing I remember him doing is a decent cover of Behind Blue Eyes.
As for The Offspring, yeah, they're pretty cool. Can't remember which song A Lot Like Me is though, and we're kinda getting over-saturated with their stuff too, but ah well. And the Yellowcard? Nostalgia will make that a BEAUTIFUL singalong. Here's to you, high school memories!
Either way, I'll probably download the Offspring song, the Yellowcard song, and, hell, probably all the Weezer tracks. It ain't classic Weezer, but it'll do until they release more old stuff.
-While I want more Weezer, I don't like any of these songs. Plus, Beverly Hills would be so fucking easy to play.
-Limp Bizkit hasn't ALWAYS been terrible. I liked pretty much everything on Three Dolla Bill Y'all, and when they came out with The Unquestionable Truth Pt. 1 (a six-song album they put out post-Borland), I was genuinely impressed. It's actually ROCK. They haven't followed up with anything since then, but I'm glad they stopped on a high note.
-Like necros said, I'll be getting the Yellowcard song for high school nostalgia's sake. The whole Ocean Avenue album is pretty rad.
Did I just say rad?
Agreed. We need to get some more FNM in Rock Band. I don't know that much of Bungle's stuff would work, but I'd be willing to pay good money to be able to force my friends and family into playing "Everyone I Went To High School With Is Dead."
Coincidentally, the show I was referring to in my post was at Faith No More show (during the Album of the Year tour, I believe) in Philly when Limp Bizkit was touring with FNM before they "broke." I'm not going to knock Limp Bizkit as a band -- it's almost too easy, and they did put on an OK show for what they do -- but they were NOT warmly welcomed by FNM fans. The heckling was pretty bad.
crap DLC is still CRAP THOUGH!
